Home and survived, took son dropped him off, I went to Walmart, and although I have all my Christmas stuff packed and kids took to basement..

you know Walmart was gonna have mega sales, I got quite a bit of stuff for next holiday for cheap..real cheap. 25cent Christmas ornaments..well they are actually christmas snowflake gift card holders. But, I will put the kids pics in each instead...and that will be there 2009 Christmas ornament for the tree. .25cents each woohoooo

I give them an ornament most every year, I try to find ones I can put a pic from that year, or an ornament I can write on with something so the year and name would be on them. Then once they move on, if they want them we will box the set up for each for their first trees. (some are a bit weary but most are strong ones that will last)

hugsss all, (legs are awful, but they dont keep me from moving anyhow, just irritating...so might be in for a rough night of sleep..I work tomorrow 7am-2pm)

Oh, my dad goes for a CAT scan Monday morning near by here, and then suppose to go to Marquette, hour away for a 345pm apt with the surgeon... funny here they made apt and set up the CAT so that he would have the results for apt I think. When my sister went with him friday for bloodwork, and then went to grab his drink for CAT scan, she mentioned the idea of them being read and carried out for apt. The lady just said to her, oh these are just preliminary!! My sister used to work in hospital Xray, so even though this is done at the other place, I am holding her in charge of calling them first thing in morning to make sure they plan to have them read and sent up or so they can pick them up before apt.

My son (17) flew out of Minneapolis today, going back to Nebraska after his Christmas break. He moved back down there for his senior year, the school is so much better where he lives. Sad to see MN schools deteriorating as they are ~ they used to be among the best in the country. His first flight was cancelled, they say because of ice (we've had freezing rain/drizzle all afternoon), though I think it was to save money..They re-booked all the passengers on an airbus, so they flew once instead of twice. Worked out OK, because he was pretty psyched to fly in the airbus..Called me a few minutes ago & let me know he got home OK..
That's about all the excitement happening with me. I'm just SO glad the holiday season is finally over. It was an emotional one, to say the least. I think next year will be a bit less painful..Hope everyone's doing well!

Morning. We've been up since 8am drinking coffee. I am dreading the wedding already. There will be over 200 people and we don't know but maybe 5 that will be there. lol I am sure it will be fine once we're there.

can not figure why I am so tired, did dishes preparing a meal for later this week, some beautiful baby back ribs I rub the heck out of them with some bbq rub then am slow baking them, the house smells so dang good, gonna drown them in some chilies bbq sauce then use my bday gift a sealer for food and seal them with more sauce so it soaks in deep into the beautiful baby back ribs and then pig out with someone a couple someones, on weds, just ran out again to two more stores searching for cups founds some and at a sale price too then ran to my moms dropped off a boot for her sore foot make it easier to walk, then I just prepped 180 more cups for Debbie and all this since 5 am on one cup of coffee, wht is wrong with me that requires at least 2 if not 3 cups of the nectar of the java gods and juan valdez himself

Any prerequisites for joining in here? I love chocolate and have a whole box I haven't even opened yet

I did manage to take down all my decorations yesterday even though I'm walking like a penguin. I did leave the tree up and will for one more week. I got a Wii fit for Christmas and I'm so anxious to start using it. But, from what I've read, you have to feel your legs first

Now I have to squeeze my feet into my shoes and go to church.

The hubby and son are off to church, my late night dealing with tummy issues kept me at home. So I'll putter around here, do some prep for lunch and rest.

Frank those ribs are sounding delicious. I keep forgetting I can use the Food Saver for marinating meat.
