Glad you guys are OK.

ugh ... had a whole post typed and when i hit the submit button the page timed out ...lets try this again ...

hello everyone ... hope everyone is staying warm ... i am here to say it is freeeeezing out there ... frank went out and started my car for me this am so at least the drive to work was nice and warm ... today was spent doing paperwork, pcn's (changing prices on listed items), working at my signage desk getting everything ready for the next sale and for the set up of spring lawn and garden ... of course that particular chore required me to spend time in the receiving area ... no heater !!! and several deliveries can we say frozen ... by time i got home my feet were frozen, my legs were frozen, my .. well you get the picture ... it is definitely a soup night ... and maybe even a hot bath instead of the usual quick shower ...

DS22autistic finally rolled out of bed/floor ( he curls up over the heat vent) ... did the dishes and swept ... now he is back on the heat vent ... i think he sits there because its his comfort zone ... frank and i think he is going through a withdrawal/ depression and not sure what to do ... getting mad at him 'cause he doesn't want to be involved with family activities is not the answer ... even if the activities are just a movie on tv or cleaning in the kitchen together on the remodeling that is currently going on ... all he wants to do is sit on the heat vent and sleep or watch his tv ... ugh ...

Hey all,
Well...my mom and sister when up north at hospital saw the surgeon. So far more is being pathologied... so far, they were told, two of the lymph nodes had cancer in them..or however they put it. uGGGGG

Then, they told me his knee is swollen, so when I was there, wow big swollen knee. which is hurting him a LOT, he was taking walks last few days, but I tried with him today, the nurse brought us a walker even...(that is how bad his knee hurts). we took a very short walk in hall!!

but he still no bowel noises so they keep the tube to tummy in nose..uggg he is sooo wanting it out and foods...

they said his knee might be gout!!?? not sure what that is, he has never had it before.

He is looking so much older than he is, or actually he has always looked younger than his age, but wow..hard to see him, suffering..and bothered.

So, I am thinking once they get the rest of pathology report, he will eventually see an oncologist, to make a game plan, as if in lymph nodes..I believe they will do some kind of chemo soon enough.

Not expert here, but funny thing his nurse tonight, a guy, has had this colon cancer and surgery just back in fall. Now he is on chemo himself. So we had a long talk, about the best things for dad right now...(which is walking, for bowel noises to get going) although his knee is hurting so much.

my mom is going up tomorrow, if not too much snow falling...she might take a few of my sisters kids, might pep dad up more.

I dont work till evening (long story but I can tell you after sometime)

I was thinking of going up quick in morning, to hospital, but maybe should take a day off. Just find it hard to think of dad in the bed, without what I find much care there. If I dont go for a bit, I will make sure my mom knows how very important it is for him to walk, and that she can ask nurse for help for him out of the bed, and the tubes and all.

ok sorry long, hugsssss and burrrrrr, sarah

Frank, LOL. Are you related to my husband? When he's at a client site, he can go for his smoke breaks outside without a coat in 20 degree weather. He tolerates the cold a lot more than most and doesn't bundle as much as I do.

Sarah, Still praying for your dad.

(((Sarah))) - I certainly will keep your dad as well as the rest of your family in my prayers.

Frank - Didn't you already have your head examined only to find it damaged? LOL I would freeze my little behind off stepping outside in that cold with only a flannel shirt on. Yikes!

Deb & Frank - Saying some prayers for DD22. Poor kid. It does sound like the heater vent is his "comfort zone." I have no advice to offer just lots of hugs.

Kay - Yea, the shorter version sounds simpler. LOL Still, I don't think I could manage a farm without totally overdoing it. Heck, I can't always manage my house.

Sandy - I think you and Jim need a hobby. Sitting around throwing water in the air to watch it turn to snow AND doing it more than once warrants a need for a hobby. LOL j/k - as it sounds like something I would do. Remember my popcorn in the sock and microwaving experiment? LMAO The water experiment does sound cool. I would love to see that in action. You are right though, it won't work here. But, it would be like rain and that is cool to see sometimes. LOL

Nothing much going on here today. We'll be heading out to DBF's this morning. His sister is coming for a visit and will be here today. That will be fun. My sister is also coming today but I won't see her until tomorrow. She is doing some project with my mom and will be busy doing that. So we made plans to meet up tomorrow afternoon/evening.
