I watched some of that GMA interview on line this morning. I am baffled. At this point...I'm thinking perhaps a DA should be called in.

There is so much public outrage here...as it should be. But it concerns me that folks seem to be looking more at the mother than at the doctor, who I hold at least equally responsible. Our hearts turn first to the children and that is fine. But, there is so much more at play here.

This doctor knew the background of this woman, yet moved forward. It is disturbing. I think energy needs to be placed at looking at this physician and others like him (so this doesn't happen again) for the babies (their safety and futures) and lastly for this mother and possibly her treatment.

IMHO, there is a real possibility that this mother might suffer from mental health or/or emotional disturbances and perhaps her parents were unable to care for her appropriately. (Perhaps Sandy C said it all!!!!) Services for those suffering from mental illness are not readily available in this country (that is an understatement) and prejudice is common. Sometimes these very people are used by others...are the victim of others. There is a possibility that is what took place here. Or it could be simply two irresponsible and ill intentioned people whose paths crossed. Do "mad scientists" get to do what they wish? Again...where is the doctor in all of this? Is he not held accountable?

I find it interesting that this doctor's name is barely made known. People are barely aware. Yet, it is his expertise that created this situation. She might be a baby-factory...but a baby factory that needs a doctor's help and has biology fighting her.
This doctor, can create cities and has no limitations at all.

Will someone please give an explanation of this TV interview for those of us who are completely in the dark?

Who watched Oprah today?
The father seems like a proud man...but one who is also conflicted, sad, defeated. I sense that he has never really known what the right thing to do was in terms of really helping his daughter.

I really like all that Dr. Oz said re: this situation. How the emphasis should be on the care of the children. Also... how the public doesn't feel like they can trust Nadia and how the medical profession will be and needs to be looking carefully at this doctor.

Adoption seems like a really good possible alternative. I hope CPS will be able to do what is best for the children and that the medical profession will tighten up invitro regulations. I wonder if Nadia will ever be psychologically evaluated and receive likely needed mental health care. Other than this possibility, I don't think anyone wants to see her profit in any, way, shape or form as the result of creating all these children and burdening her parents and society.

One thing that my husband reminded me of today...we had to take mental health testing before adopting our child. An MMPI and an interview with a social worker. Additionally, we had to provide references and read two child care books and write book reports! This was what the adoption agency required of all applicants and we were happy to do it! Additionally, the agency did not seriously consider couples who already had children or who were over a certain age. I'm not saying invitro and adoption should have the exact same guidelines/rules...but it does seem like there should be some similar standards.

I saw Oprah today. It was very interesting I thought. I agree with what Dr. Oz said and I also agree with the fertility doctor (not her fertility doctor) in what he said.

The grandfather seems like a decent guy. And I had wondered before if the grandfather and grandmother weren't divorced. He said so but did not mention how long ago it was.

I found the show interesting.

Apparently Kaiser is questioning her ability to adequately care for the children and may not release them to her.

Finally......someone with some sense is asking the right questions.

She and her Mom will be on Dr. Phil today and tomorrow.

Saw the interview yesterday and today with her mother. Very interesting and it gave a new perspective. At least for me.
