Spent 2 1/2 hours with the cable guy today. Had lots of fun! I just switched my internet/telephone/cable service to Mediacom. I am saving 55.00 a month, which also include a dvr. Now I just need to figure out how to use the dang thing.

Sandy, sounds like you had a busy weekend! The weather was perfect. There were several weddings/ receptions going on in the Palmer House.

Kelly and Two Kids -- Hope you all cool down soon.

Soxmom -- you sound as if you are as busy as ever.

Hope everyone has a good week.

I guess I'm like Justweave, I keep dragging my feet. I can't seem to force myself to do things even things that would be good let alone things that aren't so much fun. I have to get some blood work done - been putting that off for 3 weeks.

I have to get my butt in gear and get Grandma's estate finalized. I have to send some paperwork back to the lawyer. I have phone calls still to make for her - canceling credit cards and such things. It's all so depressing and so foreign to me. I feel like I'm way over my head even with a lawyer telling me what to do. It's just overwhelming.

I want to make a pedicure appt, but don't seem to get that done, either. I have a gift certificate - all I have to do is make the appt. I'm just kind of running in place right now.

I just need to suck it up and deal with it all and then I'm sure I will feel better. I keep thinking one step at a time, but if you don't take the first step, you still don't get anywhere. So, tomorrow, I will get up early and get the bloodwork done and then drop off the paperwork. I just have to. I really need to get this off my mind.

Hugs to everyone here. I read all about you all everyday even if I only post every now and then to complain about my life! Take care everyone.

I have an appointment this morning to get my hair cut. I'm debating on whether to bite the bullet and get it really cut.....or just do my usual "trim". Since beginning LDN my hair and nails grow like crazy. If I were to keep up with my hair and get it cut every time it needed it I'd be going back every 3 weeks! Can't afford to do that....

I haven't been in months so it's grown alot. The man that cuts my hair is going to be surprised! I find lots of styles I like in magazines.....if only I could look like the models that have those styles I'd be set!!

The weather has actually cooled off here a little. The humidity yesterday was only 39% so it felt cooler than it really was. That was strange but a nice relief. We aren't expected to get any rain until Saturday. Figures.....that's the 4th....when people are going to want to be outside. Oh well, I'll take whatever I can get. My front yard is practically brown now. I hope it comes back to green once it rains.

I'm trying my best not to think about the month of July. It's a hard month for me but it gets a little easier to deal with as the years go by. I try hard not to dwell on the "what ifs" and "whys" and try to live in the here and now. I think I'm doing pretty good....

Have a good day, everyone! I'll either have a new haircut by lunchtime or the same old thing just a little shorter. Why is change so hard???

Morning all! I need to run over to the Chevy dealer to get an oil change and have my back windows checked. Then I plan to weed the garden. Exciting huh?

Holly, I can't even imagine having to do all that.

Holly, I understand that you have been overwhelmed. Just take it step by step.

Kelly -- Go for it! Get your hair cut. It will be cooler. And if you do not like it, you said that it grows quickly.

I need to go into my office today to pick up final papers to grade. Then I have to go to the drugsore and grocery store. Exciting, huh? Tomorrow's plans -- my first tetanus shot in about 25 years.

Have a good day!

Okay....I did it!! He cut about 3" off all around and layered it all over. Thinned it out quite a bit. My hair was SO thick. He kept saying "I cannot believe how much your hair has grown". It feels so much better - and lighter, too. I bet I lost 1/4 pound!!! Now I can go have that milkshake for lunch!

Kelly, I know it feels better! I had my hair cut and styled about 2 weeks ago. The stylist cut off about 12 inches and it is now just above my shoulders. Neat thing is I can dry and style it, or put in scrunching gel and let it air dry. With the layers it's full and fluffy either way!

Holly:

I'm staying in today. Eye appointments went well and of course we all need to change our prescriptions. So will run to Costco and get everyone new glasses ordered this Friday. At least my son's vision is improving. He was sooooo far-sighted he was wearing extremely thick and heavy glasses at 5 years old. Now at 13 he barely needs glasses. THe doctor thinks by next year he will be able to stop wearing them. If he's like his Aunt Kat, he will have 20/20 vision until he's about 40 and then need reading glasses.

Wow!! 12"!! You must have had really long hair. I know it must feel better especially with this hot weather we're having.

I hope your son's eyesight keeps improving. I started wearing reading glasses at about 40. Now, 8 years later I have umpteen pair of "readers" all over the house.....and can never find a pair when I need them!! They all eventually end up on the desk!
