You know me I don't like saying congratulations to somebody who has just been found disabled for the rest of your life. I'm glad to hear the stress of worrying about winning is over. Now I hope you feel well enough to enjoy your life.

Let us know what your award letter says about a possible review. I'm guessing 5-7 yr frame and hopefully you'll never get reviewed because they tend to forget us old folk.

I haven't gotten the award letter yet. I asked my lawyer what I should do in the event of a review. He said that with the nature and severity of my disability, he would bet his recess money that there wouldn't be any review. I really don't know.

The statutes would have to be repealed for there to be no reviews.
Do you REALLY believe that NO ONE should be reviewed? No one can have medical improvement? Or everyone but you? Section 221(i) of the Social Security Act, as amended, requires a periodic continuing eligibility review for disabled beneficiaries at least every 3 years except where a finding has been made that such disability is permanent. Reviews of cases involving permanent disability are made at such times as the Commissioner determines appropriate. This review is called a continuing disability review (CDR). Section 1614(a)(3) of the Act provides for periodic review of eligibility for Supplemental Security Income, based on disability or blindness. These reviews are either called CDRs or, in the case of the age 18 review, a redetermination. |

Do the majority pass their review without a problem? If one is taking their presrcibed meds and fllowing up with docs they should be fine-or no?

If your condition remains the same or worsens, then there shouldn't be a problem with a review as long as like you say ,take the meds and see your doctor.
