The SGA amounts are not averaged.

Some states will allow you to collect unemployment for the difference between PT and FT work. Contact your local unemployment agency and explain how your temp disability insurance is running out, and see if you can supplement the difference with unemployment.

If you wish to continue to work but need accommodations, you can likely do so. There are specially funded jobs for the disabled.

Many people are struggling with keeping their jobs in this economy, and the numbers of those applying for SSD benefits are rising as a result. All I can really say is that if you can avoid looking like you're applying due to a pattern of benefits running out or being laidoff, I would. Maybe this won't be an issue, but it could be. Your disability should be so severe it prevents you from being Capable of working at any job, above the SGA level.

If you're working 9 months and your pay is being spread over 12 months, I'm guessing this would be considered?
