No surprise to me that the government make mistakes in their favor as far as payments go, but, why if they have all the correct information in the system, do they not make the adjustments? My attorney submitted the correct information, "I submitted the correct information and still, no correction made. Now they not only owe me thousands more in back pay from the original start date but now the whole new monthly rate back pay from December til whenever they get it fixed!
Being that my situation is attached to a WC case they had to adjust accordingly, I get that. BUT, they had the correct amount I was getting from WC from the get go. They are off about $500 a month....yea, hello, I could sure use that $$$$$. I just don't understand how the information could be in the computer ( I called twice and both people I spoke with saw the documentation submitted, even both letter's sent by my attorney) but nothing done with it. Thankfully yesterday the woman I spoke with said she was sending a message to "my case worker" (didn't know I had one) to "nudge" him to work on it and remind him that my attorney sent 2 letter's about it. She took my phone #, attorney's name etc. I get that they are busy, but I worked for the government myself before all of this and believe me, when working for the government being busy is a different definition than being busy in the private sector. ![]()
