your quote was not in question..... it was your NOPE that was, when the OP was asking if not being able to work with people due to mental illness was a possible grounds for disability The answer to that is for SSA, not you, to determine. Many people come to this forum very afraid and confused by the system, and it only adds to their stress when they get abrupt and dismissive replies. As echoes and don pointed out, the best way for someone to go when they are not certain on whether or not they are eligible, is consultation with an attorney. That is helpful and supportive advice. A "NOPE" is not. No none is suggesting that one should not provide honest answers when people ask questions, nor that false hope should be held out. However, it is the *tone* of the replies that are frequently upsetting not just to those that ask the question...but also to other members who read. I will again draw your attention to our guidelines about the mission statement of these forums which states that if your post is not about offering support for someone, perhaps it should not be made. http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/showthread.php?t=1293
