Confused Waiting 5 years... Now what?! :-(

Hi everyone... First of all I'd like to say I'm happy reading stories about people who have been waiting as long as 4 years manage to get a favorable decision. It gives me a little bit of hope, but sometimes I wonder whether that hope is a good thing to carry in my heart or something handed to me any time I need to feel crushed and destroyed...

I believe I originally filed near the end of 2003. I was denied twice I believe and then I had a hearing January 4, 2007 in which the judge gave me an unfavorable decision (landing me in a mental ward highly sedated for a week) as well as a full report on how he thinks I'm not credible and therefore neither is my husband so all of his testimony was thrown out.

I have no idea what to do...?! After my hearing I had the opportunity to go to Federal appeals court, but I didn't have $500 sitting around that I could do that with.

So I ended up having to drop that filing all together and file a second time. I've been denied once and I have sent in my paperwork for appeal and I am back to waiting... which is how I've spent most of my time since 2003.

I didn't look too in depth as to what people's disabilities on this board are, but I'm dealing with fibromyalgia and host of mental conditions.

I just saw my lumbar and cervical x rays in the flesh for the first time ever the other day... that prompted me to go get a copy of a CT scan I had 6 months ago.

Nobody bothered to report on anything remarkable about either scan with the exception of a 2.2cm ovarian cyst on my right ovary. All the doctors blew this off and told me it was nothing... Well, my x rays from last week still show that cyst and now with my UNPROFESSIONAL measurement from within the eFilm Lite software it appears to now be about 2.5 - 2.7cm in size.

I've told my doctors that my grandmother had ovarian cancer at a very young age.

Anyway.. these x rays. I'm noticing things about the x ray that strike me odd, obviously again, not a professional. There is one vertebrae in my upper part of my lower back that is "floating" .. it has a HUGE gap on either side of it. Others are sitting on top of one another and really make me wonder if that is the grinding sensation I sometimes get from that part of my back when I flex in certain ways...

My spine all the way up seems to twist as well as sway side to side slightly in like a serpent curve. The curves are not huge as in cases of severe scoliosis, but they appear to be there no less. Also, there doesn't seem to be any curve in my cervical spine.... I've looked at normal x rays of that and I know that's not typical.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN THOUGH???

My doctors are very unhelpful because I am young and I have A LOT of health issues... Most doctors I go to think I am just making things up. I've filed for SSD and they seem to think that just because I'm young I can work. If they can find me a job that doesn't require me to be in any one position longer than an hour at a time, I'd be more than happy to take it.

Tangent...

Sorry...

Anybody with any info, advice, anything... please get back to me. I'm not sure what to do or who to be looking for.

Does anybody know how to read an x ray or just care to give an unprofessional opinion? How about a CT scan? That one I can't figure out.
