I don't know the answer to your question, Jenn....perhaps you could call and ask the local social security office

Windfall offset will apply. SSI will recalculate how much less SSI would have been paid if the benefits from her father had been paid on time. The difference will be paid back to SSI.

It is likely that all but about $20 per month will be paid back to SSI. So if there are 12 months of back pay due, it would be about $240.
