Mine is at T3,and it has caused me a host of other issues since I started a desk based job last year - namely, scoliosis, general nerve problems (tingling and numbness - though I'm not sure if my visits to the chiropractor are to blame) and a muscle shortening on my right side of the neck, because of the curve of the cervical spine.
My main problem comes from the muscle shortening though, it caused torticollis like symptoms that even my docs aren't sure how to explain... Anyone who has a similar condition, how did you go about dealing with it, and what issues did you face because of it? |

Hello, I just read your post. You did not mention pain, just some muscle stiffness. If you do not have bladder or bowel problems and can still work a desk job, I'd leave it alone. My rule is, severe cord impingement, Then I'll call the axe man. Sounds like you are in pretty good shape. No spinal epidurals, myeleograms, No P.M. I wish I had your comfort. Take care, KEEP US POSTED. WE CARE, WTR NYmph

Well I wanted to ask about the trouble sleeping bit...I find it very hard to sleep with a pillow and so I use a towel under my neck.. it feels ok at first but in the morning I have this headache and for some reason my eyes feel really painful.. I'm suspecting it something to do with the optical nerve.. I did see the spine surgeon for one appointment and I didn't go back for my second... because after an MRI I was referred to a neurologist and this whole thing about torticollis came up it took up a lot of my time. And I am seeing a physiotherapist now. I am thinking now of going back for my second appointment though.. |
