I have heard of one other person, through my neurosurgeon, that has had 7 levels fused, result of car accident. She is doing fine, restrictions and pain of course, but walking and moving! I'm sure you have done a lot is researching, and I'm sure you are scared to death, but trust in your surgeon, have faith and lean on family and friends. I had a cervical fusion one year ago, C5, C6, C7, and just had a second surgery on my ulnar nerve ( elbow area) 6 days ago. Recovering nicely from both. This forum is awesome for support and information. Please make sure you have someone to help you for the first few weeks, or longer. Lots of preparation makes recovery easier. Look on some of my old threads for a list of items, put them at arms reach in baskets next to your comfy chair or bed, or wherever you plan to sleep. I will pray for you also. Try to have a positive attitude, it helps with recovery, and if you don't already, learn to meditate, it helps calm me when pain is bad or nerves get frazzled from recovery. Take care.... ![]() Cathie |
