If P.T don't work and the your pain is bad you might want to consider ESI (epidural steroid injections) I have alot of people in my life who found great relief from them and avoided surgery. I know lately is a hot topic from what happend with menegistis outbreak but it seem to be more controlled now. I also think you should always exhaust every conservative treatment before surgery is even on the table. I wish you the best and hope you find pain relief soon. I know and remember how painful it was before surgery.

I do not know what part of the world some people live in, but, in Southern California we have a qualified doctor, namely a Neuroradiologist, to interpret the MRIs. I was having pain on the right side of my neck.The X-ray showed advanced arthritis on the cervical spine. I insisted on having an MRI done. The results were that I have a pinched nerve between C5-C6. The only thing that can be done is NSAIDS and rest. I do not do any work with my right hand, even dicing food irritates the neck. I am 80 yrs old and was accustomed to playing 18 holes of golf. Can't do that anymore. One has to learn to adjust their lifestyle to compensate for your problems.In time thee problem will get worse and at that time I will have to make more decisions as to how to treat it.I stay away from chiropractors and acupuncturist. I have tried both and the only thing they did is to separate me from my money.

Hi Everyone. I just recently got a copy of c spine X-rays from my chiropractor. Showed the D.O. (Who practices at the location my original doc told me to get physical therapy at) The X-rays and he said it looks fine other than the issue between c 5 and c6. I circled the areas that I asked him if were normal. Should I show my doc who ordered my mri this xray or does it look like it aligns with my mri report. Thanks!
