Default Staring down the barrel-help

My Doc just got pre approval for this:
1) Lumbar spine fusion combined
2) Insert spine fixation device
3) Apply spine prosth device
4) Lumbar spine fusion
5) SP bone agrft local add on
6) Sp bone algrft morsel add-on (mmm Morsels)
7) Remove spine lamina 1 lmbr

My wife is keen but I'm the one getting carved up like a Holiday bird. Can anyone give me the inside info on this? My wife and I meet with the Dr tomorrow and I've faxed him 2 pages of questions in advance so we don't have to goof around with me trying to remember.

Wish I could help. What you did is exemplary, but IME, he may not even look at them until the appt., so bring your own copy in case he "forgets", etc. Pencil in any add'l questions between now & then. Bringing spouse is excellent for notetaking, remembering, questions, etc.

I hope someone else comes along with the info you request (Hint: keep googling anyway ). Bottom line, you have veto power. I don't recall if there's a time imperitive due to your spine's condition, but if there isn't, and/or you need more time...

Hoping the best for you either way you decide.

Doc

Thanks. He will probably look at them. We have been together since my brain crud started 7 years ago so he knows I am an information guy. I just want to hear from folks who have had one and how they are doing? I am guessing my wheelchair fencing career is over. The twisting, turning and leaning back and forth are probably not the best idea.

A book I got through the ABA titled "Google for Lawyers" has really helped my research skills. I figure I'll start worrying now and avoid the rush.
