Default MIR results are worrisome

I recently injured my back at work and had an MRI. Results are in and they have me worried. #1 complex disc herniation L3-4. This includes a broad based midline component at this level contributing to moderate central canal stenosis. A superimposed broad-based inferiorly directed component on the right impinges the decending right L4 nerve root in the lateral recess. #2 Posterior midline annular fissures and shallow broad-based midline protrusion at L4-5 and L5-S1. There is substantial impingement of the thecal sac or decending nerve roots at these levels (in this neutral supine position ). Distal lumbar facet arthrosis.

My fear is that it has been 3 weeks since the injury and my pain level has not declined. The workers compensation doctor has not been in any type of hurry to refer me to a specialist. Should I be worried about the results? The pain is still in my back, however the pain in my leg is becoming unbearable. Any advice would be appreciated!
