Default What's on your plate...

Just replanted some annuals that died for lack of watering...
Also took a good look at my tomatoe plants....two very small tomatoes on six plants!! Mr.Alffe says my soil needs sand.

Meeting Barbo for lunch and wondering if I should admit to FreeKittens that I ride the mower, not walk.

We have a date for the walk..http://www.stayinafloat.com/

What's on your plate?

What's on my plate.... welllllllllllll.... a few days ago I walked 8 kilometers! (always sounds like more than miles!) and I made it... one of my feet got very sore about one block from home... but I made it!!! (I wear orthodics for planter faciitis) ... spelling?!! arrgh!

And I have suffered since... lol... today was the next walking day but I don't think I can do it... darn! I did too much too fast! darn darn darn!
And the weather is so crappy its too cold to swim... what to do, what to do?!!

Oh... I have lots to do...

Enjoy your lunch sisters! You're probably eating at the same time I'm still drinking my morning coffee

Yesterday I was able to walk the 30 mins on the treadmill (*whisper...the trick is to walk in your underwear...you're cooler...I was home alone...well, not exactly alone..the dog was very curious...)

Lunch was wonderful...Barbo suggested beef sliders w/french onion soup and I found a new love...

Expecting a phone call from daughter G. this morning...she is going to NY with us next month and is so excited!!! We love, love, love NYC! Have tickets to see both Billie Elliot and Book of Mormon.

Mr.Alffe is taking me to the movie this afternoon and popcorn is on the menu.

Addy, Mr Alffe had that planter fac. thingy and dr. gave him stretching exercises that helped tremendously...raising up on your toes while holding on to a chair...etc.

What is on your plate???

Howdy Folks

Today I have to come up with and implement a seriously structured activities for Beanz (my 5y/o girl)

Beanz was stolen by her biological father and abused by him and his mother. She has lots of problems, no doubt. I haven't the time today to tell the whole story, gotta get that structure in place.

OK so I need help coming up with activities with no car and no money! I have to help her until school starts

Ideas?

Yup I have had the fasciitis, no fun. I stopped wearing the orthotics as it caused really bad cramps in my legs.

I just stretch now.

Wishing you a Grand Day

Yes, I must do those exercises! Thanks for reminding me Alffe and Kittens! My legs and heal still ache - but getting better!

I love living vicariously through you Alffe - those sound like wonderful shows to see when you're again in NYC!

I'm looking out at sunshine - I hope to have a swim after my job ... in the early afternoon. I'm trying to arrange friends getting together this weekend, too... is a long weekend here in Canada.

Kittens - ah, sorry to hear about your little one's past... but knowing that she's in your good hands will certainly make her life what it should be.

I have a great suggestion if its a sunny day - give her a little bucket of water with food colour and a paint brush... and let her paint the fence! or her swing set.... lol... used to keep my kids busy! I'm sure there are tons of fab ideas on the internet...

I save the styro containers from the grocery store - I thread a large needle with yarn and then I show Grand-Addy (she's almost 3) how to sew!!
I also save big pieces of cardboard (sometimes you can find huge boxes by your recycle place) - and let her decorate it with crayon, glue fabric on pretend windows... make a tent... whatever she can come up with...

have fun being a kid again!

getting hungry for pudding now.

Went to see Friends with Benefits yesterday which really surprised my daughter gretchen... We loved that it was filmed in NY city.

Had a storm last night and the wind knocked over my new cherry tomato plant (it's in a pot by itself) and when Mr.Alffe righted it he said there are 5 or 6 little tomatos on it...Thank goodness no tree limbs came down this time. Hope they got some rain downstate....awfully dry there.

Has anyone else tried those little Off machines for the mosquitoes?? They really work...! Have yet to be bitten and we sit out a lot in the evening.
