Alffee - I'm so glad you got the chairs and at the price reduction! Yay!

KathyM - is there anything I can do to help?

Multi-tasking again....I'm reading two books at the same time, never a good idea...The Curious Incident of the dog in the night-time and Touched by Suicide by Michael Myers, M.D. and Carla Fine. The first is a novel and very novel indeed...almost finished with it. The second I'm trying to use as a self help book. I think I mentioned that I got to meet and hear Carla Fine speak...her husband killed himself...she has also written "No Time to Say Goodbye".

I've got ham loaves in the oven (trying to cook ahead a little so Doody and I can concentrate on playing)

We aren't going to talk about flatbread! It ain't the rolling pin Curious..it's me!

what's the weather like? humid...just forget it. it will never get thin or dry enough. even if it splits...roll super thin. don't worry about looks. hehe..you can always crack away the edges.

sounds like good books. i can't wrap my pea brain around anything that will help me right now. too much drama going on. i keep reading books just to help me relax while the melatonin, calcium and magnesium kick in. crime and law type novels.

Yes, it was very humid but our house is air conditioned to I didn't think that mattered. ~sigh Doody will get store bought flatbread....

Are you "self doctoring" curious? Are you feeling any better?

I have garlic soup simmering on the stove...whole house smells delicious...if you like garlic! *grin

Heart

YUM

last week in the oh so hot texas heat i had a craving for french onion soup. but naturally i had to throw a twist. i added a bunch..of garlic whike i was sautee'ing the onions. oh my...it was D-lish. all carmalized.

might want to wait onthe flat bread until the humidity goes way down. like making divinity or many candies, they just don't work in the wet weather.

been a rough week. i am doing my very best to control myself. it's hard. this school stuff with grandmonkey.

((((((((HUGS))))))))) for you Curious.

I love listening to you guys talking about food... its so comforting... it really is.. I think that's why I like to watch those cooking shows... I dunno....

KathyM... how are you deary? Are you going to see Doody this week? (I recall her saying that she'd be visiting you - maybe its after her visit with Alffe?)... anyhow... been thinking about you...

and thinking lots about Moi, too ... even all these miles away... Iit is hard, sometimes, to put into words how much all of you mean in my lives.
Man he's lucky to have Spanish Moss...
Man she's lucky to have Moi

I've been thinking lots about Alffe today... and songs keep going thru my head... songs that I think both of us could relate to even though our son stories are so different.

And Doody and Alffe together - how lovely that the two of you have such a special friendship!!!

I think I went way off topic ... and should probably have written some of this or most of this or all of this in another thread... lol...

I can't even find a mood to describe where I'm at right now...
so I stick with my old favourite - Mellow... or Pensive...

I wish there was an icon for "stuck"... cuz I'm in stall mood right now... my creative wheels have been turning...
So....I'm taking a breath before the uphill slope on this path pushes me down.

wonder if there is an icon for all that?

ok... back on topic - yep, lots on my plate ... and to top all that off I'm still singing my little heart out!
