Its coming our way!!!! Stay safe everyone!!!!!!!!

We are expecting snow, but we are ALWAYS expecting snow!

In the bible belt if they get a dusting of snow, they close schools, and roads. They simply dont have the equipment or the experience to deal with such nonsense. Folks PANIC! They will stock up their house like its the 2nd coming, cause lord only knows when those roads might be clear. Up north here, we dont panic. We know that before the snow has finished falling, the roads will be clean and clear. We WANT those skiiers and snowmobilers to get up here! Cant get them here, if the roads are not clean.

Lets go skiing! (pfffttt, even I couldnt keep a straight face on that one.)

I miss skiing - not that I could do it anymore. Maryland is just beginning of south and panics at an inch. Now it's 8 inches, life will stop!!!! It's only 2 days until Monday, roads will be clear. No reason to act like cupboards are bare (NOT) and here in middle-class America in our heated houses we might die in snow!!!!!!

Hah! I DON'T miss it!

Well, kinda sorta. I miss my ski-doo's but I still have my Fischer skis.

What am I talking about? I'll be in Michigan in less than 48 hours...

I talked to Sson yesterday and he and DW are getting buried in North Carolina.

We had a lovely 2 inches over night and it is beautiful...it's in the high 30s, so roads are clear.

I just talked to my sister in Alexandria, VA and she said they're having a blizzard! She said it's at least 3 feet....in drifts!

Dej, you're so right. Just the mention of the "S" word here in GA sends people into a panic. And we definitely cannot drive in the stuff. We can barely drive in the rain......add frozen precip to the mix and you've got the ingredients for Interstate Bumper Cars!

What's so ridiculous is the news reports of it all. They act like the end of the world is upon us. They station reporters all over the metro area and break into regular programming to give us updates of "so-and-so's got 1 inch of accumulation". It's crazy!

I hope everyone is safe and does well during your winter storm! And if you don't want the snow, please send it this way!!! We'd take a good storm.
