Went for a check up today, and the local MD was really pushing this H1N1 vaccine. I explained that I already had the H1N1 and he is the guy who did the test! I dont have risk factors, as I dont work, am not in a school house, and really am not a problem....am i?
he explained that almost all of my outside appointment are at medical clinics, chiropractors, dental offices, and hosptials, This means that almost everywhere I go, I am exposed to this virus, and now that I am in a flare, and have this tummy issue, they have been worried should I need IN house care. He got kinda pushy about it. Said maybe I wouldnt have enough natrual immunity from the actual flu, and really wanted me to suppliment with the vaccine. I said I was IN a flare, and isnt that not allowed? He called the MS clinic who said "if you can get consent, give it to her! we want ALL our patients to have that vaccine!" OMG! ![]() ![]() Then on the way out, she tapped my DH who was in the waiting room, to come with her. She led him to the lab area, and told him to sit down. Confused, he followed her. She told him that she just gave me an H1N1 shot, and since I got one, he needs one. ![]() my arm isnt sore, and no swelling like the regular flu vaccine shot did for me. isnt that silly? I had the H1N1 and yet, still had to get the vaccine? I guess they are trying for 100% compliance or something. Ive been poked! ![]()

That sounds fairly aggressive all right. They must be bending over backwards to prevent an epidemic.
But there are reasons, I guess. According to the Centers for Disease Control Website, Quote:
