legzzalot - go glad you got your service back. It's too bad they won't issue a credit though.

Legz,
Call and ask to speak to management. Go up the line until you get a credit...there is absolutely no excuse for them not giving you at least one day's worth of credit.
My DH works for AT&T...I miss the monopoly...it was so much easier then. But life goes on, and competition is good for research and development...or so I hear...

I've always had Verizon and never had a problem with them for ten years of cellular service.

I did have problems with the landline and DSL portion of the company and those are being sold to another company. We have our home business landline through them and I hope the new company will be ok and not raise our bill too much.

I'm sorry for the problems you've had with your Alltel service conversion.
I agree about asking for a manager. They should give you a credit for the day's service since you weren't able to use it at the very least. Keep us posted and good luck in getting it fixed.

comcast keeps thanking me for being a customer. They know I have a choice....blah blah...NO! we dont have a choice! its this or satellite! I had the D service, and it was horrible. We live in the boonies, and each time a rain cloud went by, we lost signal. I have the phone/internet/cable package and my phone STINKS! there is a back echo, I frequently hear from folks that they tried to call me and didnt get an answer. The cable box has a mind of its own, and the DVR only lets you see 7 days in advance to pick what you want to record. If you see a program in 11 days, you have to mark your calendar to get it.

I hope you were able to convince them to credit you for the one day.

And Comcast too! LOL! They actually sent a saleslady to my house to try to get me to sign up for the triple play... I took her out back and showed her the orange cable running across my back yard... You see they had to run that cable when they installed internet.... they were supposed to come back the following week and bury that cable. This was in September.... yeah.

My neighbor signed up for comcast, and the very next day they came out to bury his line! I asked the guys to do mine and they told me no... I have called them 3 times about this... I give up.

Verizon is issuing a credit to my account in the amount of $30. I had the store manager call them to complain about the lack of service and how I had to come up there twice and it took them over an hour each time. So that is settled.

My landline and DSL is with AT&T. My cell is on my DD's contract with Verizon. It only cost me 10.00 per month. I don't use it very often, so I have no complaints.
