Default Serving communion? or dropping the basket?

My DH and I started going to a new church this past year. We have been asked to serve on several committees and boards, and events. The latest one is "would I like to serve communion" I guess they have a rotating base of members that do it in turns. They asked if we would please help.

I had to explain that I drop more than I hold and I dont think they want their bread on the floor! I had to explain that one of my favorites phrases in this house is "oh! you wanted yours on the floor, yes?" That would have been so nice to have served, but again, MS takes away another peg.

its bad enough that I dont shake hands with most as its cold/flu season, and now something as easy as passing out bread, turns into a "im sorry I cant help you." This disease ticks me off!

Can you imagine the lil old lady in the front row covered in bread bits as I say ..."you wanted yours on the floor, yes?" too funny!
