Cool Nola, la

am off to airoport in an hour for a work related trip to New Orleans fo rhte week. It is going to be high of 90s and low of mid80s- Ugh

Nothing to vent about, just hoping I don't melt into a puddle in the streets LOL The good news is the roids still have me wired so energy should be no problem!!

Have a great week everyone, especially all who are having a tough time right now

Have a safe trip. Be sure to drink lots of water. We're in the midst of an oppressive heatwave down here in the South. It's only 8:30 AM and it's already 80 degrees here. High is supposed to be between 94-97 depending on the area you're in. My A/C ran for 9 hours straight yesterday. Thank goodness for budget billing from the electric company!

NOLA is humid!!!!! I used to visit there in the summer, and I swear, you can drink the air! its sweltering. I guess you can get used to it, but when you come from the NE and then go to NOLA, holy cow! its a transition.

1. stay hydrated.
2. seek shade
3. wear a hat! the sun will rip the hide off of you
4. avoid alcohol. it makes it worse

Enjoy your trip!

Oh my Goodness it's so HOT and Humid here!!! Please stay hydrated. We just had a line of severe thunderstorms pass through but they only make the humidity worse. Hope you enjoy our great cajun food.

Holy mother of God it was hot and super humid!!! Had a long, tiring week but also a good week as we got a lot of excellent work done. Definately glad I went. Felt so good after the solumedrol infusions (I was wired!) I got cockey and left my wheelchair at home. I used the airport chairs (the are terrible, eh) and tok lots of cabs to & fro places.

Had wonderful food (File is spicy!) and ate my first crawfish (yum). Tried to stay hydrated and only went out fo rlunch or in evenings. Of course I had to have a Hurricane and a few other libations - it is NOLA after all... Did Boubon street, French Quarter, Wharehouse district etc. Ran into a famous chef (literally, me, my crutches and all all bt knocked him down coming out of a restaurant).

Home now and worn out. Pushed it a bit too far but happy to say I hung in there and my legs cooperated most of the time. Thank goofness my hotel bed and the staff doted on me as I really needed it come suppertime:-)

I think everyne should go to NOLA and experience it at least once in thier lives - but make it for a time of year when it isnt so hazy, hot and humid!
