Jack has had enough of litter boxes. I left the toilet open so he could get water, and he crawled right up there, and...PEED! during the day!

Ok, this is weird. I was just surfing for the kitty kit to teach Rick to do this! That is awesome!!!!! Maybe the smell and feel of litter makes him nervous?

I think the litter boxes upset him, because each time he uses them it hurts. He has been watching and listening to me pee for 3 days as he hid in his bathroom closet. I have seen him splash and play in the toilet, but this one shocked me. He climbed right up like he had been doing it all his life. He completely emptied his bladder. it was a stutter stream, and a dribble, but he kept at it, until he was done.

I couldnt have been more proud if he laid a golden egg. Way to go Jack!

Jack got pain meds at 8pm last night and was not happy about it. He slept better last night, and let me sleep better. 6am he peed a tiny bit in the box, and leaped out. waited a few minutes and got back in and peed a loooong time, but work out most of a full bladder. a few minutes later, he climbed back in and finally pooped! He has not tried the toilet again.

No pain meds today as he was supposed to be cut off yesterday. I will leave him med free for the day, and try him med free for tonight. I will give him the anti anxiety stuff.

I have left the door open, and he is welcome to wander out when ever he is ready. He has made no attempts to leave the room. He is asleep in the bathroom closet.

I've never been so interested in whether a cat pees and poops as I've been with Jack!!

I'm so glad he's finally getting back to normal. He just needed a few days of peace and quiet and a patient Momma. Bless his little heart.

Thanks for keeping us updated. He's a sweetheart.

it was taken yesterday. the battery died in my camera and went I inserted a new battery, the date set to 1/1/08. I have since fixed the date on the camera. He has never been on the potty. My old cats were potty trained, and we were just about to start it again in this house now that the old lady cat went to cat heaven.

I gave a copy to the vet. she wants to steal him.

went out to do errands and he was still hidden in the bedroom. I popped open a can of cat food and called him. he wandered out to the kitchen, where Lily promptly spit on him. He was timid and took some convincing to stay out, but is now asleep on top of his cabinet and I think being out of the bedroom will do him good.
