Hi, Tracey, good to see you're still among the living.

Yes, it has been truly horrendous. The idiot, Mr. Kimball actually whined the other day in front of the regional manager and me. This is true: Some moron installed marine ladder rungs for grab bars, a vertical one, no less aside the toilet. I told them I wanted a real, horizontal one so I can actually use it. He said, "Well, that requires a stud," and duh, well, duh. So, he goes on to say how hard it is to find a stud in the wall! He's supposed to be a professional (braggart on top of it) and the R.M. & I both said to use a stud finder. He literally whined, "I've tried those things, it's supposed to find the nails but it never works!" In unison, we told him to get a digital one for $20; he looked like a deer in the headlights.

Another one:
I tried to open the mini blinds and when I pulled the cord, the whole thing landed on the floor in a heap. I left it right there, took a picture, looked up at the hardware only to discover they had been pseudo-shimmed with folded pieces of cardboard. When I did show & tell with the RM, she asked him who installed the blinds and he said it was he. She asked him what was the cardboard supposed to mean and he actually said, "I didn't see any cardboard."

I wish he'd walk back up his hill and stay there.

On Sunday night, I finally got the nerve up to remove the factory plastic from my new mattress, ditch the sleeping bag, and go for real sheets. Nirvana! (till I woke and found I'm still here)

The rest of the kitchen cabinets were supposed to be installed today. Supposed to be. They didn't show up. Can you believe they gave me one (1) small drawer in the entire microscopic kitchen?

It's so poorly designed and small, the new oven door scrapes the new refrigerator door, I've decided to let that be my little secret.

Sometime ask me about the left-wide-open range hood duct and the air conditioner running non-stop for days on end. This little tale even includes wasps!

Every single day, this clown proves and reproves his total incompetence. It is downright pathetic.

I can't believe what you are enduring there, and yet maintaining your sanity and sense of humor. I'd be a blithering idiot by now. Oh wait I already am.

Thanks, Sal, it's a daily battle and I've certainly lost my share of them. I'm blessed to enjoy the benefits of forward thinking and have taken comfort in the notion that this is just a temporary situation.

I honestly think that I was put here to advocate for the other residents, many of whom, cannot or are afraid to get the upper management on board.

That's a wonderful attitude, Cindy. You were put there......in this specific place at this specific time.....by no coincidence. You have a mission.....and those folks are blessed to have you leading the way! And woe be to the management that tries to stop you!
