Default The worst part of fatigue...

...is that you're just too tired to care. But the next day, or the day after, or whenever you get a break in the fatigue...THEN you care, but it's too late.

It stinks when we miss out on something special because of fatigue. It's such a difficult thing to explain. Try as we may to pace ourselves sometimes the fatigue just hits and all we can do is cave into it. Submit to it. Nothing else we can do.

I've quit using the word "tired" when I try to explain it to someone. One phrase I've started using is "utter and complete exhaustion". It seems to have more of a punch than just saying "tired". Because if one more person says to me "yeah, I get tired, too" I'm liable to use my last drop of energy to give them a purple nurple.

I'm trying to remember to say "I'm just not feeling up to it", but sometimes I slip and tell the truth. Though that actually IS the truth.

I hate fatigue. And I agree with you 100 percent. I hate being too fatigued to go places, then feeling bad about it later. I've missed so much!

This is exactly how I am feeling during this holiday season. I am too tired to care. I am exhausted, wrung out and spent and I havent even gotten out of my PJs yet! I am just not sure I would survive having small kids this holiday. How would I ever provide a good christmas for those babies? it makes me upset.

My fatigue has lifted some and I think I should thank LDN. Before LDN, some days I couldn't even lift my head properly (like a newborn baby)

Now I just get it when I overdo. Since overdoing is against my religeon, it doesn't happen often.

After all these years, I have learned when it's time to lay me down to sleep....WHENEVER!!... I don't have time for all the riggamaroll of Christmas....It interrupts my rest and sleepytime.

My advice....Everybody should try a little LDN to see if it helps you and I hope it does.

You're right, Sally. I don't get the bone-crushing fatigue unless I really, really overdo it. I believe the LDN has helped me in this area. Like you, I sleep when I sleep. No rhyme or reason to it. I might be in bed at 7 PM or I might be up till midnight. Just knowing that I can go to bed if I need to helps me not get all worked up about not "keeping" a strict schedule. Not sure what I'd do if I had to work. I'm sure they'd find me passed out on my desk more often than not. Yes, LDN has been a lifesaver for me.
