As always, I enjoyed The Biggest Loser tonight. Santa Claus is one of the contestants!!!! It started out as couples but then in the first hour they went to singles! Theme is all about no more excuses.
|
I decided to resurrect this old thread since The Amazing Race started tonight. Apprentice started, American Idol is almost to its contestant stage. And of course Survivor. I am even watching Project Runway all stars.
Felt sorry for the girls who left tonight on AR. They had such high hopes for themselves but made some silly mistakes, the worst being walking right past Phil while trying to find him. The pair from Kentucky are just going to make a laughing stock out of Kentucky. My daughter lives there, we live right across the river. Kentucky is not that backwoods as these two guys are. I like the clown couple. So sorry Santa had to leave TBL but some one has to. I guess he knew that his time was over and was ready to go home. Sounds like he is doing well there. I hate Hollywood week in AI. The drama! Of course they had to have the flu bug going around. I was surprised that they had them go from Hollywood to Vegas. I always love Project Runway. I would never wear any of most of the clothes they make I just love the personalities and how they change through out the show. But this is all stars and the personalities are even bigger! I do miss Heidi Klum. I even get caught up in the simple competitions that Rachael Ray has on her shows! |
I will be watching Survivor, but we already have a thread started for that and that is really all I'm watching??
I Used to like PR, but there is just too much Estrogen and very little, if any, Testosterone on that show. It's like watching a cat fight every week. And the outfits are getting weirder and weirder.. I will also watch some of AI, but not all of it. Sorry, Doydie, just not interested in the other reality shows.....mostly because they're getting too unreal..:D |
So what do you all think about American Idol? I just watched all of the men tonight and the first 3 ladies. I'll watch the rest of the ladies tomorrow sometime before the result show. I thought the men were fantastic. I loved that they brought the one guy back. I hope he wins it all! America needs a voice like his again.
|
I enjoyed most of the guys performances. My favs were the big dude..Jermaine, Colton with the funky hair!, Philip with guitar, and the kid from Louisana, I think the last name was Ledet.
The girls kinda left me unmotivated to vote. I won't say why until you've watched. Thing about AI, I tend to vote for the contestant that I would probably buy their post- AI music. I've watched the last 5 years and only bought 1 so far. |
Well I am done watching the women. The only one I really liked was the young girl that was really country. That isn't saying that I am most;y country but I liked her talent and her performance. It will be heartbreaking tonight to see so many eliminated
|
Well I finally caught up with all my shows! The final 13 is set now for AI. I know I am probably in the minority after reading on the AI forums but I really like Jermaine. I am so glad they decided to bring him back. I think he will bring in the older persons vote. I also like the young girl who sings country.
I was heart broken watching Biggest Loser. They went home for 18 days. That is really unusual for them and then Bob said he really liked the changes they made for the workouts so i guess that;s why they sent them home. They had to lose 5% of their body weight in order to have immunity. So one of the really nice younger guys who had been a favorite and was doing really well and really understanding himself as to why he was obese came short one pound of that goal and was automatically eliminated. His Dad tried to have them substitute himself instead but the young boy took him on and said that he didn't lose the weight and deserved to go home. So he really stepped up to the plate. I was proud of him. |
Celebrity Apprentice
I missed last week's episode but the guy from Star Trek got eliminated. Does anyone watch it besides me?
|
Anyone watching The Voice? That's been pretty good the last two weeks. It's getting down to the finals now.:)
I haven't stayed up on AI, will pay more attention this week. I wasn't nuts about Jermaine the 1st time, so will watch him closer too. Been watching a little of Kitchen Nightmares too. So far Survivor is boooooooooorrrrrrrring this season, but still watching, when I remember.;) Carry on you junkies..:grouphug: |
I watch Celebrity Apprentice. Yes, George is gone. He was a very learned man, so distinguished. But the way the show was edited he wasn't much of help and the only reason the group seemed to think he would do a good show was that he was gay. I like Arsenio and Penne.
I am glad that the girls finally won. |
I watched the Voice on Monday. Was so disappointed that Celo let Angie Johnson go. Hopefully the exposure will give her opportunities better than the Voice. I didn't care much for the rest of the bunch.
AI, will be interesting this week. The girls are performing Whitney Houston songs. The guys will be singing Stevie Wonder tunes. I have 3 favorites and hope they do well this week. |
American Idol
Caught some of AI last night. I must say that last girl, Jessica, that sang "I will always love you" did a really good job. I hope she keeps it up. The only other person to get anywhere near Whitney's version is the girl from Glee. Jennifer Hudson tried but I felt she fell short.

My favs of the night: Ericka, Colton and Philip. Jessica has too much vibrato in her voice, but she did a good job with such a big song. I was surprised by Skyler that she kept the twang in check and did a great job on her song. I had to laugh when Jlo said she had too nasally a tone at the beginning of the song... not on show she didn't, but she does in the Itunes recording! So do the judges listen to that recording before the show and make their remarks based on that??
Will be interesting to see who goes home. |
Well the Biggest loser was a no brainer tonight. They are always so scared to go home yet they gain so much strength when they get there and find out that they can get along without Bob. Emily, the Olympic weight lifter was sent home. They all had really good weight losses but hers was just smaller than the others. She has had a secret ambition to be an opera singer so she contacted the girl from a couple of seasons ago and was put in contact with a coach and her loved her. And she has lost 90 pounds and looks really great.
A new show started tonight. It was said it was similar to Project Runway but I thought it was nothing similar. Maybe as the show goes on, if it goes on it may show some similarity but not now. Two or three designer want-to-bes go on the runway with one look, the are critiqued by experts/mentors then 3 big stores critique them and offer to carry that item. For the bottom three who get no offers then the mentors pick one to stay and the buyers pick the other one. So one designer goes home each week. So I don't know if they get challenges or anything like that that makes Project Runway interesting. It takes them out of thier comfort jone. Most of the whoe sow was runway. I didn't liek Celebrity Apprentice at all Sunday night. The challenge was to make a 10 minute presentation and take a ten minute Q&A about the Buick Verona. Adam Coralla took project manager. You have to understand that Michael Andretti is on this team. Adam wanted a comedy sctecth. Michael Andretti did appear on stage and offerd some thoughts on the car, nothing exciting. The men lost. Adam had already said that is he lost that he would bring no one back in the board room and he would take the loss himself and be fired. So the Trump said that Buick was very disaapointed that Andretti didn't take the task as project manager. They wanted his name. He kept on telling Donald that he wasn't a sales man but a driver. But Thr Trump kept on saying they wanted his name, not his sales pitch. So Donald fired Adam and then came back and fired Andreitti!!!!!! He aid Buick was very dissapointed. Well if they really wanted the Andretti name to make the presentation why didn't they hire him and not go off in some sneaky way and let the game put him in the spotlight!!!!! I guess you can tell I was mad. Andretti really didn't do much anyway, he does what he is told to do and never offers anything of himself. Now Lou Ferrigno (sp?) always whines. They always under utilize me. He wants to take his shirt off!!!! That is his main thing he offers. I, and the other members of the team thought he should have been sent home. Trump is kind of expecting for him to step up tot the plate next week and be project manager. Amazing Race was in Italy. So silly guys from Ky are some of the most back woods guys I have ever heard. But they got through it. It was a nonelimination race. So we will see next week. Oh, I also heard that the big 'gentle giant; on AI has been eliminated. They aren't giving a reason why. I guess e will find out tomorrow. |
Another big surprise on Survivor this week!
|
Tired, Tired Tired of the reality show thing...cheap to produce, and mind numbing...
|
Dwts
Caught most of it. Urkel is my fav so far. Martina looks much better than when she played Tennis.
|
Dws
I enjoyed seeing the tennis player dance non the less. she did show another side of her, very graceful in her older years. Thought she looked terrific. ginnie
|
Martina will be 56 in October. She's maybe a bit more relaxed now and not so intense as when she was in her younger years. Gladys Knight is 68 in May. I didn't watch DWTS this time. They show a lot of it on GMA now.
|
Martina was pretty stiff but maybe I think that because all the others looked so good for the first week. I really liked steve Urkel!
|
Well they took the remaining contestants form TBL to Hawaii! The excuse this week was ' I can't loose weight while I'm on vacation'. Well their trainers showed them how. They are now looking real good. Unfortunatley there is a clique and one girl is left all by herself and the only way she knows to keep safe is for good weight loss which she showed this week. But she only has one friend left, a guy which finally saw what the other girls on the ranch are doing to her.
|
Erica, with her new do, was my fav tonight, on AI.
|
We haven't talked about the shows lately! Maybe it's because I'm to busy watching them. I even added one. But yet a took one away
The Biggest Loser. Wow, they are looking wonderful. It looks like they are weighing in wearing their spandex now. The only guy that still looks like he need to lose a lot more is Jeremy, the young guy. I'm not sure he has totally owned up to his responsibilty yet. They had a cooking challenge tonight and he had no idea how to cook. He sure can't survive on his own. They eliminated another one of the girls. That leaves Kim without most of her enemies so she has a chance to stay. DWTS. In it's second week, had its first elimination tonight. I won't even attempt to spell her name, but the tennis star went home. I wasn't surprised at all. She looked really awkward. I am watching Fashion Star in its premier season. I thought it was going to be something like project runway but its not at all so I'm not sure if it has any chance to stay on. But it is interesting to see the big name buyers actually bid on their items. Amazing Race. Since I am from southern Indiana I am rooting for the Kentucky guys. Plus they are just so crazy. There is no pretending with those guys. They are who they are. American Idol. I'm not as enthused about these contestants this year. There aren't any that I think are winners yet. I signed up with Directv tonight and it will be installed Friday so I can record more now. Like tonight I couldn't record the results show for DWTS. But it always ends a minute late so I switch the chanell to watch Body of proof and get to see the eliminated one have the final dance. But instead of recording only 2 shows I can record 6 now!!!!! Of course I can watch any of the shows on HGTV all day long. And now I will be getting DIY!!!!!!! |
I'm shocked that the Judges didn't keep the guy who got voted off, on AI, last night. I thought they all loved him??
|

I liked HeeJun, but he should have gotten voted off last week for his antics. I like the dude with the mohawk. |
New reality show started tonight on NBC, Escape route. I think it was really focusing on the Ford Escape and all its electronics. I'm not sure if they will have eliminations or not. They had 3 different challenges and got anywhere from 20 to 100 points and I would suppose it will be a cummulative week to week. I think it has a lot of viewer participation also. They spend a lot of time on thier computers talking to social media friends. This week they were in LA, next week it is New York.
|
Biggest Loser was great this week!! They all looked so good after their makeovers, especially Kim. They are a very inspiring group.
|
I agree. I hope Kim wins the whole thing but she knows she is close to her weight goal. I just don't understand how she can be a size 6 and still weigh what she does. The one bald guy also is looking real good. And I loved, oh I can't remember her name. It's Mrs Santa Claus. She sure doesn't look like Mrs Claus now with her hair dark. It took years off of her.
Watched American Idol tonight. I know that the guy sent home tonight had talent, it just wasn't a talent I appreciated. I kind of dreaded knowing he was coming on. Kind of like when Joshua is coming on. He has to many vocal gymnastics. |
Celebrity Apprentice is just about to much for me to watch now. I will be so glad when Lisa is fired. She may have some talents but she is a trouble maker and her mouth is about as dirty as my sink trap right now. I'm glad Lou was sent packing. Audry and Arsenio are two others that can realy belt it out. They had more of the f words in five minutes than the Face Off had
One main reason Trump fired Lou tonight was because he asked Lou if he liked the other teams video better. Lou said yes. So he fired him for saying it. But yet his kids said that honesty was such a big thing growing up. Did he want Lou o lie to his face? |
since the PGA golf tournament ended up late CBS started their evening programming late. I always check in football season to see if there is a game and I record CSI for 2 hours so I catch all three of my shows. Well yesterday I didn't:( The good wife was a rerun so I just ecorded Amazing Race and CSI. So I missed most of Amazing Race:(/ I caught it on the internet but it wasn't the same. The were in Africa in a safari aea and on my little computer screen it was beautiful I have this HD on my nice TV now and I would have loved to see it in HD. Well I learned my lesson. I'm glad the 'teachers' got a second chance. But I don't think they would have asked their driver to pull over to watch the herd of elephants with babies if they knew it was a non-elimination race. Now they will start out later than normal.
|
I just woke up and realized that Melissa Gilbert- Laura Ingalls- is on DWTS. She looks older than I think she is. She's good though. And Jaleel, who's character-urkle on TV, I despised, is also very good.
|
Hallmark Channel show tons of Little House on The Prairie and I watch alot of it. Never watched it while growing up but had a roommate in undergrad who turned me on to it. Melissa Gilbert is something else. She's good. I think she was even the president of SAG at one point. I think she gives DWTS her all. Now that they have got rid of Sherri, I don't know who to root for. Sherri's positive attitude should have carried her farther. She was truly excited to be there. I'll miss her. Funny cause I don't like her on The View.
|
Wow, the judges on AI were really rooting for Joshua tonight. His named was mentioned several times, standing ovation, lots of praises. I think Randy pulls the strings there. A couple of times it looked like Steven was wanting to stand up, looked over at Randy then didn't. As for the SO with Joshua, it was Randy that stood first. Felt sorry for Hollie, I liked her song tonight but they sure didn't.
|
AI, I've watched this show too many years. They cast characters and after a few weeks I can tell which ones they want to go and to keep. I'm starting to see/feel a lot of manipulation of voters and "head games" with the contestants.
I feel bad for Hollie because she did a pretty good job with her song. She slowed it down and made a power ballad to fit her. Nerves are getting her because she's trying too hard to please everyone. I don't think she's realized this is a game she has to play. I vote based on the music I will buy. Tonight that is Colton and Phillip. |
On AI, the singers are all worthy:), but the Judges are starting to P me O.
|
Another surprise on AI
|
I like that the Judges saved her...yeaaaaaa!!!
|

I just feel bad for Hollie because of the way the judges acted tonight! |
Well the kindergarten (FBI agents) are gone. So sorry to see them gone and not the Big Brother crazy couple. I was glad that I had my high definition because that African safari was beautiful. I'm glad they gave them a task to let them slow down and smell the roses.
What is going to happen on Tuesday on TBL. The previews show it as everyone packing up and going home. Well it's about the time for the last contestant to be eliminated and it be down to the final 4. They go home and them come back for a weigh in to see who is the final 3 for the finale. So are they just pulling our leg? |
