Today is supposed to be the hottest for us. Heat Index temps of 110. Actual temps around 97. I am so thankful for my air conditioning. God bless those who have to endure this without it.

Ya know, even though I haven't actually been outside in this heat, I feel it in my MS bones, anyway. I'm very comfortable in the A/C, but I can still feel all of the weather changes....especially the heat/humidity and the rain.
I wonder why that is. Today will be cooler high 79, but then heating back up to the 90s by the weekend..

I'll be right back, I'm going outside and kiss the Vermont dirt.
Vonn, I'm only comin' if Moochie is still up there.

I made some great big ice cubes by filling up Tupperware containers and freezing them. I just dumped them in the outside kitties water bowl. I worry about them out there in the heat but they've never known A/C so I guess they're OK. They show up for breakfast and supper everyday! And they do drink alot of water which I'm sure they need.
I went and got groceries this morning instead of waiting until tonight. It was still very hot but at least I have a garage I can back into and unload the bags from the trunk. Not sure what I'd do if I had to walk any distance carrying multiple bags. Holy Cow my weather widget says that it's 96 degrees! My thermometer outside says it's 108. I think I believe the thermometer.

And they are so precious........
We have a new "visitor" and I think he might become a permanent resident. He's an older cat.....looks like he's had a rough life. One ear is half gone. He just looks beat up. But he's the sweetest thing and doesn't bother the other cats. I don't think anyone has ever given him any attention but he's gonna get some here!! Tomorrow's high is 83!!! It's gonna be like winter!! I know it won't last but we'll take whatever relief we can get.

Glad fewer of you are melting. My daughter shivered when I told her it was 49 here last night, but it was heavenly sleeping weather. *sigh*
Vonn, back when I was a little girl watching the Mickey Mouse Club, Annette and Lonnie (?) took a trip to Wisconsin, "Adventure in Dairyland", and the little boy on the dairy farm was Moochie (Kevin Corcoran). Annette was my idol, Moochie was so cute, and they made Wisconsin seem like a really wonderful place to be!
