Default Freakish weather

How weird is it to be sitting by an open window on a MARCH evening, waiting for it to cool off...in Vermont??? It was 82 here today. It's been nice to have it warm, though I am never satisfied, and would have preferred 70 to 80!

We still have one more day of record heat. Everybody is saying "I hope we don't get March in July!" but by July, I'll be ready for a week of March.

Last year we had the most rainfall on record, and so far this spring we seem to be hitting record temps daily. It was the mildest winter I can remember, and having a string of days now in the spring where the temps were 30 - 40 degrees above normal? Just waiting to see what summer will bring?

I think this is the first March that I've had the A/C on for a two week period. I'm scared for what Summer has in store for us.

I had errands. I got over heated. My tummy went wonky, my head split open, my nausea went wild, and I had to go into the car to cool off before we could continue. 82 is NOT my idea of good weather. I seem to have a cut off of 80 if I am still, and 75 if I am active. UGH! here it comes!

Shocked

I feel so much better in this weather! Cool nights I love!

I even have some plants that are considered ANNUALS, with active crowns in last years containers! I almost pulled them out when I noticed they were still ALIVE! Two hybrid Rudbeckia types!

I have all my perennial seedlings moved up and outside hardened off already. The cold frame is backup incase we have a snow storm. I guess I will start the gazanias this week. Next week the Cosmos?

The scilla started blooming 3 days ago, and we have never had scilla before April 8th according to our yearly log.

I already finished my spring yard cleanup. All of my perrenials are budding and I'm tempted to put in my veggie garden.

And if you want to see something really pretty, go to the Google image search and type in "gazania", like I just did.

All the seasons are beginning to blend together. Pretty soon we'll not have four separate seasons anymore. Hmmm....where have I read about this before?
