Cool Smirk Bungee jumping

So, we had a family rebellion, er, reunion, in Gatlinburg, and spent one evening at a place that had go-karts and thrill rides. They had the massive swing thingy where you have to lay in the harness, and they had a bungee jump. My DD, age 6, wanted to bungee jump SO BAD, but when I took her to sign up she didn't weigh enough.

So then my son, age 8, decided he wanted to try it. Since he's afraid of heights, I didn't think he would actually do it. It was kinda funny because instead of jumping he just slithered off the edge, but off he went! We had a group discount going on, and I decided I would probably never get another chance like this, so......

I BUNGEE JUMPED!!!

Scariest thing I've ever done on purpose. But now I can check that off my bucket list! DH took DD on the big swing thingy, and she loved that. It looked like a rougher drop than the bungee do I didn't want to try it - more of a jerk instead of a boooiiiiiinnnng.

Next on my list is skydiving. I really wanted to do that on this trip because one of our cousins is an Army Ranger and has done lots of drops. I was hoping he could tandem with me, but isn't certified yet. I found a place about 30 miles from home that is called a skydiving ranch, and I'm plotting to go there soon. DH is not enthused so I may have to be sneaky.

You're braver than me! I have enough strange sensations going on in my body every day......don't need the feeling that the bottom's been pulled out from under me! I actually get that one sometimes and it scares me enough to not want to do it on purpose! But I hope you have a good time and I admire your bravery!

"Family rebellion", heeheehee.

I'm with Kitty, I have scary stuff happen that I don't have to pay for!

I was going to say that there's no amount of money that could make me bungee jump, but if someone offered me, say, half a million dollars? I'd eat a bowl full of tranquilizers and jump.

Good for you!!

Someone asked me once if I'd like to go and do that with them.
When I said "No thanks", they said, "What's the matter? Are you chicken?"
I said, "Yup...care to hear me cackle?"

Great that you had fun, you thrill seeker, you.

With love, Erika

Good for you!!! Definitely try skydiving! My friend did and has since gone back to do it again because it was so much fun. Unfortunately since I had the torn arteries in my neck I can never do anything like that. I didn't get a chance to do those things and I so regret it. Don't let the opportunity pass you by!

I am totally planning on skydiving! Even if I have to sneak off by myself to do it. I've always loved the idea of hang-gliding and skydiving, and used to dream about being able to fly. I've gotten more afraid of things as I've aged, but I'm getting to the point now where I figure I'd better do things while I'm still able. I can't see any skydiving place being too enthused if I pull up in a wheelchair. Also, what have I got to lose? There's really not much to be afraid of.

We did a play during VBS that had an "elderly" woman who had skydived for her 80th birthday. Some of her lines: "If at first you don't succeed, skydiving's not for you!" & "Just remember, it's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop at the end."

Default Hi masarkie

You will love skydiving. It was some of the best experiences I had. I didn't give it up because I wanted to. I was going to jump school with a jump master. My neck gave out, and so did my ankles, and not due to jumping either. Have fun. It is a safe sport. Just investagave the jump school and look at the credits they have and safety records. Good luck ginnie
