Shocked

Yowsers! looks like nothing is safe anymore!

I always buy brand name...mostly Jif or Smart Balance.
And Planter's for my nuts. I don't eat that much to need a store brand.

I eat alot of peanut butter.....so I usually get the name brand. I tried Smart Balance and it was good. I might switch over to that kind. Peanut Butter is one of the things I can't skimp on. I really can tell a big difference between brands and especially the store brands.

Red face

Yes, I agree. Peanut butter is my basic comfort food. I lived on 2 peanut butter meals a day all thru college, because I had no money...only a part time job and tuition scholarship. (Parents wouldn't help--- long story-- I don't want to go there anymore).

Jif has a new Omega-3 butter out, that is good too. I try not to get the big jars, because I don't trust them anymore. I like peanut butter melted on toast. yum... simple and satisfying.

When my intestines act up (my twisted congenital problem), it is peanut butter that I turn to for a few days. I seem to be able to handle that.

We eat Skippy and sometimes Jif but most often Skippy. So no worries there. We love peanut butter although we don't eat a lot of it. Peanut butter cookies - YUM!

We only eat Skippy, because Annette was my childhood idol.

We have been buying peanut butter at Costco for several months. We just received a letter from Costco to check the dates on the batch of peanut butter because of the risk of salmonella. YIKES!! We had one of the contaminated jars from the salmonella batch. Now that is freaky. The letter said throw it out immediately.
