Amazing!!! I hope they come out as good as I hope . Almost was too simple, ya know? Final cost was $294.00!!! .

Local eye doc said I would have spent $700.00+ He also said they recommend the local military Exchange, Costco and BJs for clients with good results.

Eye doc said that it all depends on the quality & training of the optical staff, and that one store in a chain can be good, another terrible.

still so happy that I may be in "reverse sticker shock"
I have used BJ's many times in the past, with great results. Glad you tried them out. I had lots of problems with LensCrafters. Several of my family members use Sam's with great results. We use Wal-Mart for my husband's contacts.

new glasses were ready on Friday - picked them up Saturday (earlier than I had expected them to be ready). They fit & look great. Optician adjusted them to sit correctly (I have lopsided ears ).

I can see very well and simply love these newer fancy-shmancy HD progressives; much wider viewing area, no glare, etc. I am so very happy.

My local BJ's has earned my trust and I will be sure to go suggest them to anyone who asks me. Just call me Ms. grinning four eyes

thanks all!

Hi Jane,

I have been wearing glasses since 2nd grade. I am older than that now and am wearing Minimas. I want people to see me and not my glasses. They have a nose piece and thin red-tortise sides but no frames. They are progressive trifocals. They cost $800.

With a new script in hand, I set off to BJ's yesterday to get a cheaper pair and then have my optometrist put new RX in these old "frames" as a back-up pair. Turns out BJ's isn't "allowed" to make rimless glasses for RX's "higher than a 3 or 4." Mine are a 7. A seven what I don't know. Now, I'll have to look elsewhere.

I'm glad it worked out for you.

I was told the other year that many optical shops will do not do a "highRx" in rimless/framelss glasses. If I recall it was about the thickness needed on edges, (sorry I am not much of an answer for you/don't know anything more specific). I hope you find something that works for you eyes/needs.

I have also worn bifocals or progressives for many more years than I care to admit. My DH says when I was born they put me in an old body
