Default A (big) little summer visitor

So my dad stopped by for his usual afternoon visit and found this little guy hopping across my yard and making his way to the porch.

Thankfully the kitties didn't see him

Actually found out after posting, he's a big girl an eastern lubber grasshopper, and she enjoys weeds more than crops.

I'm so glad I didn't have to dissect things in school. Wouldn't have minded dissecting human cadavers but wittle animals and buggies no heart for it. Though it was fun to assist in surgeries at the vets office I worked at. Much more fun to see the insides knowing the heart will still be beating afterwards, and the animal will probably be healthier for the wear, rather than dead as a door nail, most of the time... We still lost a few
