Hi everyone...hope everyone in the east USA has their arks ready...torrential rains here.

((((Sal)))) yes, it does suck aging with this crappy disease. I'm glad you have a way to communicate with us though...we missed you!

I am improving from knee replacement/blood clot ahead of schedule. I'm able to bend my knee 103 degrees already (ouch). I still have to watch for signs of clotting until the knee is completely healed. Then I need to be checked for a genetic clotting disorder that my sister had as well as her son.

It will be a quiet Christmas here since we celebrated over Thanksgiving. DS & DDIL are having us over for dinner, the sweeties DH & I agreed that the new house is our gift to one another; I did manage to get out before surgery to get him a few small things. I love giving though, so I will miss that part...

Hope everyone stays safe over these last few days before the holiday...

Sally, It is good to hear from you. Merry Christmas! I am glad that the nursing home is a nice one. I am sure it is hard to adapt after being on your on, but I bet you feel safer. Maybe you can find some new hunks

I know that people in the midwest are getting hit with a lot of rain today. It is freakish how warm it is. 80s and sunny here. We are going to grill out tonight and watch White Christmas I think my brother in law is going to do prime rib on the grill on Christmas. It is too warm to use the oven.

We are supposed to get hit with flooding rains and severe storms over the weekend. Then the temps are going to drop into the 50s.

I hope everyone has a nice and stress free Christmas and New Years.

Glad to see you alive and kicking Sally. You may not be kicking very high but you are still with us. Do you have your computer in your room or do you have to go to a central computer? tell us all about it, room mate, nurse aides that are good looking hunks since I don't think you are going to need hunky landscapers?

Merry Christmas Eve... Santa is making his way through Russia as I write this and should be headed for the US Eastern Coast in about 8 hours or so? Though he could be behind schedule given how late kids seem to stay up nowadays.

Hope everyone and their families have a safe and happy holiday.

Happy New Year Ya'll... And thankfully not only are the holiday's over for now but my family has finished their end of the year hospitalizations .. My DH with pneumonia just before Christmas and then my DSD with a UTI, Kidney and E-coli infection with some tachacardia to top it all off with A few days in the hospital and she still is right as rain but getting there. Meanwhile this grandma is worn out, too many things going on at once and a two year old to watch on top of it all.

But it wouldn't be the holidays if the ... well you know... didn't hit the fan. At least we made it through relatively in one piece this year. Here's hoping everyone else weather their own storms as well.

Smile Happy New Year

Wow, can't believe it's January already. Times a'flyin'.

After the wettest December we've ever had here in GA it's finally drying out a little. But the cold is settling in. It's about time! It's been in the 60's and 70's all throughout December. I'll be wishing for that weather come February and March......our coldest months.

Christmas was fun this year. The babies turned one in November and they had a grand time on Christmas Day. Lots of people equals lots of attention and they were zonked out for the night by 7 PM. They got lots of toys and clothes......neither of which they needed but all very appreciated. Those girls will never be at a loss for someone to love them. They're just precious.

Nothing much exciting going on here. Well, my neighbor is doing some major renovations to their back yard and side of the house area. It's looking very good so far.....there is a iron fence that separates the front patio area from the back yard and screened in porch. Looks pretty but the back yard is going to be spectacular. Retaining wall across the entire length of the yard and a large paved area for what I believe is a bbq. The retaining wall is very nice......lots of decorative stones built up. It will be nice to look at from my porch.....

My Neuro has finally given up on me and asked me to seek a second opinion from The Shepherd Spinal Center. Seems I can't tolerate any of the MS meds (well, the pill forms) and I guess he is tired of dealing with me. Just as well as I was tired of dealing with him. He got mad because I couldn't tolerate the Tecfidera. Sorry but I'm not taking something that makes me feel worse than the MS already does.

I found a website that will mail birthday and greeting cards complete with the envelope to me. I sort of went overboard with my first order but I'll use them all eventually. I got so tired of missing everyone's birthday just because I can't get out to the store when I want/need to. Here's the website if anyone is interested.....https://www.greetingcarduniverse.com/community/

Hope everyone is having a good new year.

Happy New Year to everyone!

And special thanks to Kitty for posting about the greeting card Website. Getting greeting cards has been a major problem for me for some years now because there's been no way to get them without going to a store.
