I used to love looking at the cards in the store.....and giggling at the funny ones......but this is better (in my opinion) because you can customize some of them and look as long as you want without someone standing behind you waiting for you to pick one. It's like I finally get to shop alone again!

It looks as if the price per card goes down as you order more cards, and shipping can be free.

One more person for my Christmas card list .
Well I have been babysitting the GB for the past couple of weeks while her mother is working and I must say it's nice to feel useful for a change. Even if at times it seems the GB is taking care of me rather than the other way around. She is growing up just so fast it's making my head spin. Last week it was like skinning a cat to wash her hair, this week she just jumped right into bath time and laid down in the tub to get her hair all wet, let me soap it up and rinsed it herself. As to why the change of heart who can say, I thank Diedie from Ocean Giants on Netflix, the kid is whale crazy! Today she further surprised me by seeming to understand the telling of time. Earlier I told her that her Gigi would be coming when both of the clock hands reached 6 (6:30) then since she wanted to know when mommy was coming I told her that the little hand had to reach the 11. She picked up right away in her own explanation of what grandma was saying that Mommy was the little hand. So she kept running out to the living room and telling us she was watching mommy on the clock. She only turn 2 in mid August . And she said her first complex sentence today too, when Gigi showed up at the house, she ran up to her and pointed to the clock and said "Grandma said mommy's the little hand she has to work till eleven." or in her childish lisp "Nama said mommy's da whittle han she has to wok twill eweven." It's the longest and most grammatically correct sentence the kid has ever said, and was promptly followed up by the usual "see it... No touch... No wook! and other age appropriate orders and word usage. But still about floored both of us that she could speak so well and so clearly! She hasn't quite gotten a handle on negatives in her speech though, she still says the "Do no" for Do nots and Don'ts. And to think the baby daddy was wondering if she needed speech therapy or testing for autism just because she had open heart surgery when she was 3 months old. The kid reminds me of my brother, he was very quiet, hardly ever said a word until he felt he had mastered the art of communication. My little Zoodle seems to be much the same way. She won't progress much onto the next stages until she feels confident in her ability unlike most kids who just have fun making noises with their mouths with nonsense words and sounds. Unfortunately it gives me a glimpse to her future and boy is the DSD going to have some problems when it comes time for school. The kid is going to be too smart for her own good, and likely just as stubbornly set in her way being 'right'. Run away teachers of the future, you're soon to have a kid you just can't argue with because their logic is too sound. Aside from the GB bragging, not a whole lot is going on around these parts. It's cold, but GA cold which nothing like the northern colds, we have to wear real pants, and a jacket! Maybe even a sweater, Oh My! So just trying to enjoy the cold, play with the GB as much as possible and have fun while trying to forget that summer is just around the corner

Good morning, everyone! Phew, January is more than half gone
Starz, one of my sons was extremely bright as well (they were all intelligent, but he was considered gifted). He argued with his HS English teachers when they gave him less than an A+...he said his take on the assignment was right, no matter what they wanted him to write. Gotta love chutzpah like that!! Knee rehab is going well beyond expectations. I am released to full workouts, baths, swimming, etc The swelling has gone down some, but it's still uncomfortable to wear jeans, so I still wear work out pants--so classy Just having difficulty sleeping lately...ah well, such is life... Have a good one, all!
