Default WOO HOO New Wheels

I probably sound a little loopy being so excited about a new car, but the last NEW vehicle we bought was in 1986. We have had used cars but not brand spanking new.

My Land Rover was definitely a DNR [Do Not Resuscitate] and I convinced DH it was not worth his time to fix it so we were off to get me some new wheels.

After much shopping, which was so exhausting for me, we bought a 2007 GMC Envoy.

I had a hard time explaining to the salesmen that yes a Chevy TrailBlazer is basically the same truck BUT the Envoy handles & rides much better and I wanted an Envoy.

In this day and age, why the salesmen won't listen to a woman is beyond me and very aggravating!! DH was amazing and kept telling the guy, SHE knows cars and SHE knows what she wants!!

It is so easy to get into with my bum leg and I my power chair or scooter will fit without DH having to lift it very high into the cargo area, until the lift is installed.

I can get in the cargo area without having to lift the entire back door, the window opens separately.
I am having fun trying out all the bells & whistles, plus it is an elegant looking deep maroon metallic paint which is beautiful, not the usual silver, pale gold, black or blue.

Even though it is Super Bowl Sunday, DH & I may take a ride to the shore, plus the weather here is gorgeous and supposed to hit 52! Gonna start working on my tan!!

I am ready for some football!!!!

congrats. we...well hubby mostly.. has an envoy. we LOVE it!! only thing we didn't like was the cupholder in the front. but i think they changed those in the year you got. the one closest to the dash...it's really hard to use. the gear shift hits it.

i have a blechy 2008 nisson versa.

Congratulations!

I don't even take DH when I car shop and always get asked when my husband will be coming to look at it, lol.

Congratulations!
I drive the largest thing possible, a Dodge Sprinter van, it's over 9 feet tall and 22 feet long.

Unfortunately, the cupholders were not changed in our model, but I will adapt. Wonder what brainiac desined those?? Not a coffee drinker for sure!! Other than that I love the truck!

We will have this truck for many, many years. DH does not buy new vehicles willy nilly. Once every 20 years or so is about par for him!! One of our dear friends was anxious to see the truck, but was so sick with the flu..I told him "Well we'll have this one about 10-20 years, so I'm sure you'll get to see it before we trade it in!!"

Didn't make it to the beach yesterday.....went to pick up some groceries and no scooters were available, so stupid me pushed a cart and of course, got too warn, so my left leg stopped working and we just came home and watched the game. DS & his girlfriend decided that they needed to watch the game on our HD TV and not on his little TV at school, so they came home, we fed them, loaded them up with cough medicine and decongestants [they both have the crud], water and snack foods and they headed back to school.
