Funny how ALL women feel so insecure about this bathing suit/body image thing. Think about all those 18-20 yr olds you know. They feel the same way. Doesn't that kill you?

Thing is, I am not gonna let unrealistic expectations of perfection ruin my summer fun.

I will never be perfect, but I can be a bit better than I currently am - that's all this is about for me. Any progress is a win. And any win will make me more comfortable about going outside in (EEK !) 3 months when the pool opens.

I don't have to impress anyone. As much a I'd love it, Johnny Depp is not likely to show up in my patio. I mean a girl can dream but it probably ain't gonna happen and other than him, I don't care what anybody else thinks of my chicken legs, flabby butt and lack of abs.
