Default bathing suit check in

If you don't wanna do it, I understand. Neither do I. I've gained 10lbs since yesterday - none of em good.

Last week, not so bad. This week, I'd have to coat myself in Pam to get my biggest suit on. I'm ashamed to look in the mirror in my sweat pants. Ugh. Can you say bloated?

Even my rings don't fit.

Must be the facet injection. I'm puffy all over. I lost weight after the ESI and oral pred. I'm weird.

I feel like the girl in Willy Wonka who chewed the gum and turned into a blueberry.

OMGosh! I love that movie, the first and the second. Johnny Depp is a very talented actor...but I digress...

braingonebad It's so frustrating being on all these meds and what they do to our bodies

I wanted to go to the beach last year but couldn't b/c of being sick and then having major surgery. So I'm hoping this year I'll be able to.

I loved Johnny's version too! I loved Gene's so I wondered if I would.

Is it just me, or did you hope (just a little) that there would be a scene where Johnny got dunked in that chocolate? Mmmmm....

Anyhoo, even if I look like Shamoo I ill be swimming this year. If Toledo Tent nd Tarp has to custom make my suit, I'll be out there.

That'll scare the neighbors.

I'm sure I'll wear this off quick chasing the baby and gardening. That's coming up soon. Crocus should be blooming in a week or so.

If my arms still feel okay I should be able to do some yoga too.

And remember, never compare to the best on the beach - compare to the worst.

Good luck!

I thought this was a place for support. This thread is depressing..

From a 68 yr old Grandma, who will never squeeze her pleasingly plump, loosey goosey body into another bathing suit.

Cut it out!!!

Oh yes, Johnny would be delicious dunked in chocolate

I love to garden too! Mine has been so neglected b/c I had to let it go all last year b/c I was so sick. But I'm doing better since my surgery so I'll be ordering mulch in April.

I'll probably plant some tomatoes this year.

What type of yoga do you do? I use to do the Hatha yoga. I think I still have Rachael Welch's book she did on it. Man was she HOT! The guy she was married to at the time was a photographer and he took all the pictures. It was really well done cause it described the poses and then had pics of each pose.

SallyC - You should see the older women at the beaches in Europe. People over there view their bodies so differently than we do in the states. If you look at a picture of Mother Teresa and a picture of Princess Diana don't you think they are both beautiful?

I think healthy is beautiful. That's what we all need to strive for. JMHO.

I invested in strechy pants to wear until I can get back in my jeans...ARGGGG!!

I have lost 1 pound

I went to "The Biggest Loser" site and found that I am a "Healthy Weight"...but a few more pounds will do me in!

I need to drop 15 lbs to be happy, not stick thin, just where I like to be!

Good luck all!

Of course, I do. But...........

Looking good in a bathing suit has nothing to do with beauty. I'm sure that Mother Theresa would not have been caught dead, in a bathing suit......and, neither would I.

It is terrrible how we do look at our bodies. We now that true beauty
is in us. But the world only sees the outside.

GUILTY GUILTY

Today I am going to a Baby Shower. Haven't been dressed up in a long while.
I think I have changed clothes ------ lost count.

Doing my hair and makeup over and over

Worrying about the people that have not seen me in a long time what
the are going to think about how I look.

I have gained weight. Keep saying I am going to loose some of this
fat. But put the sweets in front of me and forget it

I know I should not be like this but I have gotten worse with the sweets
since my husband passed. (no excuse)

Oh well have to go and face the world.

Yeah, you're right SallyC. Mother T would not be in a bathing suit. But the fact of life is you can be healthy at 68, but you are not going to look like you're 28 when you're 68.
