You know you have MS when you tell yourself all the way to work at 9am to call the babysitter to let her know DD won't be coming today and then realize at 3:20 just as the babysitter is heading out the door in the snow to meet the bus you never callled.

Then you try to hurry and get her before she gets out the door and if you miss her pray she has her cell phone on .

And sadly this happenes way to often thank goodness my babysitter is awesome and forgives me.

You know you have MS when:
Everything's always new! I swear I could hear the same joke 500 times and roll on the floor laughing, tears running down my face, simply because I can't remember it from the last 499 times it was told.
Have you heard about the memory tests they've been trying on lab rats? They play a sound and shortly after give them a gentle shock. They come to expect the shock after they hear the sound, and tense up (higher heart rate, etc)..If they stimulate a certain part of the brain right after the sound, they forget what's coming..So instead of the sound being followed by stress & running to protect themselves, it's the sound followed by "Oooo, what's that sound *shock*", the sound again "Oooo, what's that sound *shock*"..and so on..
OK I forgot..Did that story have anything to do with what I started talking about?

We could think up "pet names", like Babs & Herman..?

What does it mean when you can relate to 98% of these post but Dr.'s saying you don't have MS because your MRI is "fine".

that's funny, because my grandparents' names are Herman and Barbara.



but how on earth do we 'nick' Uhthoff?

Hmm..That'll take some thought (I'm in trouble already..)..Maybe a phrase would work better?
