Default Stress Test Friday Morning

Hi all.

I have a stress test scheduled for Friday. Yippee. Even more fun, due to balance issues, they are increasing heart rate with medicine instead of exercise.

My PCP really doesn't expect anything to be abnormal. He says my heart sounds fine and that even he is envious of my cholestoral levels.

The main reason for this test is to see if we can go for even stronger stimulants than Provigil for my fatigue. A little background: Took Provigil for a couple of days in January. I was yanked off of it when I had a rare bad reaction that simulated a heart attack. Even went to the ER, where they couldn't find anything wrong with me.

Just asking for prayers that everything goes fine. I'm a little scared and worried, but I'm guessing it would be better to find out now if my heart is having issues - or to find out that I'm just a worry wart.

Thank you all for your prayers.

I was having a good day this morning, except yawning all the time because I didn't have my coffee. So they managed to get me on the treadmill instead of the medicine.

The treadmill was fun. Slowly increasing speed. The last stage, thankfully, I wasn't on too long because it was almost too much for my right leg.

The techs understand the docs concern because of my reaction to the Provigil, but think the results will probably come out ok. They were a good pair, so I'm thankful for that.

Afterwards, got my longed for coffee, some lunch, and crashed on the couch. I'll find out sometime next week what the results are.

Sounds like your test went well and it's good that you finally got your coffee! I'll keep sending good vibes until you hear the results.

It sounds like you went OK.

I hope the results are what you were wanting them to show, or not to show as the case may be!

Sounds like things went well. I applaud you for staying on the treadmill that long girl! Whoohoo! I am sure the results will be fine. Hugs!

Gee. I had a stress test Friday as well. I think I passed...

It was in prep for my aneurysm surgery. They injected me with a radioactive isotope of Thallium (THallium 199). It's an isotope with a half life of ~ 6 hours... I hate knowing what I know... Like a dummy, I pulled out a chart of the nuclides when I got home Friday...

Ignorance us bliss...
