All these posts are making me cry! Well of course you want to dig your toes in the sand! There is absolutely nothing like it!! I used to load up sand when I went to Hawaii, and bring it home for my DD who was a small child then. I would put shells and drift wood in and she would play with it for hours. I'd get a big bag of it, so she could actually stick her toes in the sand and feel it. For her graduation two years ago, I took her to Hawaii....As soon as she was old enough to appreciate the Islands, I took her. We live on the coast, but in Alaska, the coast is Glacial MUD.

Is anyone out there that could fill a bag of sand and shells and mail it to you? Just until you can get there on your own. You MUST find a way. It's on the "Bucket List"!!!

BIG HUGS!!!

Oh, Beth! You'll make it to one of them, I'm sure of it! Right now, you just need to rest up the body so it can make the trek. Don't you worry, you'll dip your tootsies in the briny sea one of these days soon.

Feel better, my dear!

I've never actually seen the ocean either...not quite sure if the Gulf of Mexico near Fort Walton Beach, Florida would actually count. (also stood in the Gulf near Gulfport, MS in the early 1970s, disturbing that the picture of a four-year-old-ME in the water is right next to a sewage drainage pipe)

Wow, this one really touched home, Beth. I hope you get there soon
and feel better..

Kayo, I may play that video as I try to fall asleep tonight. It's such a
soothing sound.

Hey, Beth, I worried about you today! I'm glad to see you were on posting!

My weird sense of humor showing here but with your luck and mine this is what the ocean will probably do to both of us when we get there.

Awwww, Beth, I am so happy to see you found a rainbow behind your storm clouds (love your new avatar, too!)

You are such a sweetie. I hope you get to travel this year. We don't have an ocean here in Utah, but there are plenty of other pretty things to see. Would love to show them to you if you can get here!

Be well, my friend! Hugs to you!
