I take a shower every day, as a rule, but when I am particularly numb I dread it (feels like a sand-blaster on my skin) and will sometimes procrastinate. I used to shower before work and have a bath before bed, but since I don't work any more, I have no set pattern of when to take it. Often it will be just before or after my afternoon nap.

Once a week, I sit in the shower, whether I need it or not..:D, but I wash my stinky parts and brush my hair, every day. I am retired, so I also, wash my hair once a week, otherwise it would probably fall out..
I am forever washing my face, hands and feet (I am a barefoot contessa) and also my nether regions everytime I potty. I am also a bit of a clean freak....I just don't do the in and out of, my old fashion tub/shower well. I Smole Good..:D |

Everyday....whether I need it or not. ;) One of my most annoying symptoms is excessive sweating so if I have a bad day, I'll end up with twice a day. Mine are cool showers.
I have really fine, thin hair too. If I don't wash it everyday, it doesn't look like I have any hair. Yuck |
This is a funny thread!

Every day no matter what--unless I'm practically dying. Sometimes it's twice a day. Today's a twice a day day. Got up early to go to the Philadelphia flower show, walked around there most of the morning, then walked around Chinatown until I found someplace good to eat, then drove back home. I'm bushed, my sheets are freshly laundered, and I want crawl in them smelling clean and feeling really relaxed before work tomorrow.
Sometimes I can't get warm before I go to bed. My feet stay really, really cold. So I hop in the shower before bed and then pour my toasty feet and butt into bed. :) Sally, thanks for the visuals. That was a wonderful post! :D |

I designed the accessible bathroom of my dreams, and just finished building it. it has tiled walls and floors, glass-block shower walls, good lighting, big windows looking out over the trees, a tiled BENCH seat, and a shower head with a retractable coiled hose, so I can do most everything in a resting position! and I have a BIDET, for those necessary quick clean-ups. and underneath my house is a gigantic rebar and cement-block underground cistern, and a screened gutter system that collects rain off my roof, and holds 15 thousand gallons of sweet rainwater. on top of the roof is a solar water heater tube array, and small storage tank, and in the utility room is a three-stage filter set-up (reverse osmosis and carbon filters) that ensures safe drinking water. as you can see, I'm my own water company, because I take showering, cleanliness, and drinking water VERY seriously!:D:cool: |

he's a programmer/analyst, and I was in mgmt. lived through the endless rolling blackouts in California in 2000 and 2001: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Califor...tricity_crisis and before that a week-long power outage caused by a wildfire in the Sierra Nevada. we had a well that required power to get water... so, without electricity, no running water! and before that, a serious drought that lasted for years. so, I vowed to be as self-sufficient as possible. and... I hate to *stink* :D |
