I'm terribly sorry to hear about your loss. Recall the good times, and be there for your family right now. I hope you're feeling better soon.

All the best,
Chris

Anne,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your brother.

While you may not have been close, only our siblings remember when we were new to this world and what transpired during our early years. The loss of one is a loss of a piece of our lives and our memories together, regardless of what happened later in life between us, and there is ALWAYS love there for them.

There is good advice here about writing a letter. Say what you have to say. He can hear you now and know what is in your heart.

I hope everything goes well with your DH's surgery and that you get well soon yourself.

As for your sister in law, write her if you want and express your sympathies to her...or not. That's something you alone will have to decide to do. She shouldn't have taken your chance to say goodbye from you.

I'm so sorry Anne

I'm alienated from my mother and my father disowned me when I was a teenager. They haven't died yet, but to me they died a long time ago.

All I can say is if there is any good that can come out of this for you I hope it does.

Will be praying for a successful surgery for your DH and I hope you're feeling better.

Please know I'm here for you

Anne, I understand.

here's a LOT more than a hug, I'm holding you close, and crying with you.

I know how you feel, dear... and you have my love and sympathy.

I'm sorry you didn't get to talk with him, or work things out, or say goodbye...

and that was cruel of your SIL to not notify anyone...

I can't comprehend why some people just can't see the forest for the trees, and let petty things GO, at important times like this !

***

I lost my younger brother last year, in February, and never got to say goodbye either.

he'd been estranged from the family for many years, due to dysfunctionality and substance abuse...

Dan passed away in a cruddy motel room, alone, surrounded by his bottles...

we didn't find out for days... and missed the service and the memorial as well.

it's especially difficult when this kind of stuff hapens, AND you're not feeling well, AND you have to deal with hubby's surgery.

honey, I'm still holding you, and will pray for you, that your heart finds a way to keep open, and forgiving, and you're able to be strong for Russell all at the same time.

oh, and sending good juju, in hopes that your computer stays functioning for you.

Dear Anne,
I didn't take time to read all the other response but I wanted to tell you that I am so very, very sorry for all that you have on your plate right now. That is so sad about your brother.

I hope that things will ease up and maybe you can find some way to honor your brother in your own way.

What a difficult time. I am sending you warm hugs and hoping that soon you may feel better and come to terms with all that is going on in your life.

I hope your husband does well and hopefully you can get your computer situation resolved soon.

Much Love,
Nancy
