Default New Addition to Our Family

DD18 has been telling me about all the wild cats/kittens at her work. Everyone has been feeding them. Apparently there was over 15 and all of a sudden over 1/2 of them just disappeared.

So all the employees have been trying to catch these wild kittens and bring them home. Tonight, DD18 caught one and brought it home.

She thought I would be mad. I knew I wouldn't and looking at this sweet little thing there is no way. The kitten is scared. DD18 was surprised that it allowed me to pet it as it didn't her. She just went to get it some food. Once the little guy settles down we'll take a picture and I'll post it.

I am so proud of DD for rescuing this little guy and giving it a safe and good home.

sounds like the kitty is a bit ferral (i watch animal cops houston, miami, SF etc ). but since it's so young it should respond well to socialization.

enjoy your new kitty and can't wait to see the pic.

It took a little bit of time and patience on DD18's part but I showed her little ways to get the kitty to trust her. I got the kitty on my lap and then DD got a blanket to put on her lap so we could move kitty to her.

Here is a pic of the little sweety.

Your new little fur baby is just gorgeous.

We had one that looked a lot similar and was my daughter's first ever pet, and ended up a much loved, very spoilt kitty cat.

Drat! I had to change a word I used that meant the same as "kitty" cat, because the one I used got blipped out! I still find it difficult to work out what words, acceptable here, are not in your acceptable in your country!

Same words.......different meanings!

AHH , your new Grandcat is purdy!

It is such a cutie. DD is not sure what she wants to name it. She wants to know if it is a male or female 1st. I told since the cat is feral that at this point I'm not checking. It needs to trust us 1st and that will take some time.

She was thinking of naming it Pepper as that is what it's fur looks like. I told her Pepper could work for a male or female cat.

She spend most of the night in the bathroom with it and made a comfy hideout for it out of a box and an old blanket. It's all cuddled up in there this morning.
