Yoohoooo Char? Any news?

We got good news and bad news! The bad news was we didn't get the loan with the bank (which I kinda knew was going to happen - one thing the ex-husband did leave me is with bad credit) but the good news is ....... our banker is setting up a joint meeting this week with someone from a state agency (who is a good friend of his) who works with small business' starting us with iffy credit. My bank will back this agency up if they decide to take us on. Which my banker has already talked with him and is very excited about the business.

So it isn't over yet, just got one more hill to get over. I haven't given up just yet.... been working on my website all weekend plus some other stuff trying to get this thing moving.

It looks like I am going to be out of a job in a month (business is going to fold) so I need to have something in place before it happens!!!!

So keep those thoughts and prayers coming my way..... it isn't over yet!

I'm sorry to hear you didn't get the loan but it is wonderful that you bank is setting up the appointment with the agency. Best of luck and I will keep thinking of you!

I'm so glad the bank is helping with the state agency...sounds like that might be a really great opportunity for you. It'll all happen the way it's supposed to happen....plus you've got all your friends here prayin' for you, too! Sometimes the loss of something just leads you to something better.

When we were starting our business seven years ago, our insurance agent asked me how I felt. I said, TERRIFIED.

He smiled and said, that's a good sign! You'll do just fine!

Glad you got some good news! Have you looked into the Small Business Association which is run by the gov't to help with a business loan?

I am sorry that the place where you currently work is folding in a month. I really hope your business idea works. Best wishes!
