Default Just found out I was approved for TYSABRI!

Michael just came home late from a meeting this evening, and had the funniest smirk on his face. For a moment I thought he had gotten laid off, but he pulled a paper out of his briefcase, and......I'VE BEEN APPROVED FOR TYSABRI!!! Now, I'm a little nervous. I have to call the MS Centre tomorrow, and start the ball rolling I suppose. I'm excited and hesitant at the same time. Did anyone else feel like this when they started? I think part of my hesitation is this means that we really are no longer going to be trying to have a baby ever again, which makes me sad. At the same time, I hope I start to feel a tad better because this heat has been doing a number on me, and I don't know how much more of it I can take working.

Why am I so ambivalent? Is it because I haven't been on anything for a while, and I've been living in a state of denial?

It sounds to me like you need to do something because of the heat issue especially related to your employment.

Sorry it could mean that you will not be able to have children anytime soon, but I think it is important for you to take care of you first. Remember on the airplanes the instructions are for the parent to put the oxygen mask on first, so they can assist the child. You do come first in this situation, too.

Good luck with everything!!

Thank you starfish. I was just reading through the Tysabri thread. We've been trying to have a child now for quite a while, but I've had many miscarriages, so that is why I said what I did about it being so final. I'm just a tad surprized at my reaction this evening. I thought I was going to be thrilled. Apparently, I'm not, and I don't know why. I'm glad you have been having such a pleasant experience with it.

Good for you, Chris!

It is a simplistic medication to use.

Bravo!

Thank you, Victor. I know you've had very good experiences with it. I hope I can say the same thing soon. Were you at all hesitant at the beginning?

That's happy news! You really must keep us posted in the Ty log.

Thanks, Cindy. I've been reading the log a bit this evening. Some good news, some not so good. I suppose that is why I am also a bit hesitant. I shall call the MS Centre tomorrow and start having the paper work filled out. What have you decided to do for now?

I'd also suggest a good shave or wax. It has been a while.
