One thing is new since MS: I can't read the kind of book where they skip back and forth between generations or that kind of thing, three or four threads going on at the same time. Or the characters take turns writing chapters in the first person. I just can't keep track of who's who and what's going on.
![]() The other thing has always bugged me when I'm reading fiction: child characters who say things children wouldn't say. Unless the child is set up as being precocious, they lose me the minute I hear myself think "A child that age would never say it that way." Just my random thought this morning. Have a great Monday (as if THAT's not a contradiction of terms).
