Just heard from my little sidekick, she has to wait to see her specialist as he's in surgery all day today.

She spoke with his nurse and on the traditional scale of 1-10, she said her pain was at 20. Since this morning, she said it's down to more like a six right now.

The nurse explained to her that what may be causing this is a "floater" as in a very tiny bone chip that is moving around in there and when it lodges itself against a nerve, or even bumps one, she's going to feel excruciating pain.

The nurse also told her that there may be a very fine hairline fracture and that if it were any more severe than that, she would not be able to take a single step for the pain.

So, she's resting uncomfortably and in a wait-and-see mode for today. She said thanks to all of you for your well wishes and a bunch of other gushy stuff.

She isn't up to phone calls, and conveniently, her home phone is temporarily out of service from last night's storm (they're working on the corner box as I type).

She told me that no news is good news for now, so let's all keep praying and hoping for her.:grouphug:
