Default Some people are horrible!

On Saturday morning I saw a news story about a MS patient who had his electric scooter stolen. This man needs the scooter just to get around his apartment.

I told DH about it and we decided to give him my extra scooter. His scooter had been supplied by the MSAA.

I tried to contact the TV station with no results. Then DH remembered his friend is a retired policeman in the city near where the 'scooter napping' happened.

His friend was able to get in touch with the policeman who was investigating the theft and he helped us to get in contact with the scooter less man.
At about 7pm Saturday evening DH delivered the scooter!!

DH and I are so thankful we were able to help.

I cannot imagine who thought it would be 'fun' to steal a handicapped person's scooter! These people have hit a new low for the human race.

But I will sleep better at night knowing I did a good thing and helped someone who so desperately needed it

Good job, Ris! I love to hear stories of good deeds in the face of human ugliness!

What a horrid thing for someone to do! I hope they find it intact someplace only because some stupid teens thought it would be fun.

Our local hospitals have an annual budget for stolen wheelchairs, it's unbelievable, but true.

If they catch the perp(s), they'd better build some stocks in the public square. I'll be there.

Bless You, for extending a hand...(or in this case, a scooter!)

What an awful thing for someone to do ! It's wonderful people like you, Ris, who make up for the disgraceful 'people' who do things like that.

I think - if they find the person that stole it - they should send him (or her) on a long ride (on the scooter) down a very steep hill.

Thanks for the act of kindness, Risby!
