Heck we changed out from Charter....due to they wouldnt bring down our price for all three...we called three different times asking for managers....explaining we would switch and wondered if since we are SO LONG term customer...can they give us a better price....nope..

of course after we switched to Direct Tv...then we got so many charter calls asking about deals they can give to switch back..I wasnt happy about that..... I was like maybe someone should have gone ahead and giving me a little deal when I kept making calls to ask..duhhhh

anyhow, only thing I miss..is football..as I dont have CBS>..wahhhhh

take care, sarah

I don't have a package deal....my Cable TV is through Time/Warner, phone through AT&T and Computer/DSL through Earthlink. I pay Approx. $115.00 per Mon., Total.

Now that AT&T is in the TV/Phone/Computer business. I may get a bid from them, for a package deal.

My DD has a Package thru TIme/Warner and pays abou the same as I do and she demands new lower rates annually..and gets them...LOL

You know what's scary? That's what I pay total for basic cable tv, telephone (land line) and high speed cable Internet with Roger's here in Canada. It's a 2 year locked in contract "offer".

Yes, I said BASIC CABLE. LOL.

We only have basic cable - the movie package deals are just too much and we don't watch that much TV. But...if you don't have basic cable you don't get reception. I've complained so much about the interruptions in service that my rate is $95 a month...add in the surcharges and taxes and I pay right around $107 give or take a few dollars. We just got a notice that they are going up $8 per month. I've threatened to switch carriers and they've always lowered my rate. Not sure how much lower they'll go, though.....$95 a month for all three (cable TV, phone and DSL) is pretty low!!

Phone - Fairpoint (a Verizon spin off)
Internet - Time Warner - only DSL we can get here that isn't a mom and pop operation
Cable - again TW - only company we can get in our town - so they pretty much have Southern Maine sewed up -

Fairpoint = @#$%^&*()_

We have Fairpoint too. It's the latest offering from the tiny town take what you get phone offering. I swear we have been through twenty phone companies in twenty years. It's been a few years since we got sold to Fairpoint, but we get NOTHING from them, unless it is double the cost of the same offering from Verizon or the other larger phone companies.

There's no cable here and there probably never will be. We're too small for them to even string a wire. we have dialup internet and I feel like I am on the cusp of the 20th century ( when we actually get a 50k connection!)
Fairpoint has come out with a DSL offering since the whole verizon sale thingy, but they want waaaaaaaaay too much money and they can't even say when it will be available in our area. It took me a month to get them to come out and replace my crackling phone line that has been in place since 1963. The guy replaced the phone box too...seems that has been there since 1977! Who knew that you could plug your phone in the box to test the line! LOL!

I figure they just want to keep us on the cowpath to the jeep trail to the dirt road that leads to high speed internet!
