Default Tough day in the neighborhood

Praise the Lord that they're all safe, even the dogs, but my next door nieghbors' house just went up in flames and is now out. It looks like a total loss for them, their 3 sons and four dogs. I feel so helpless and don't even know what to say, so, I'm just praying for them and thanking God that no one was hurt.

Such a nightmare I can hardly imagine. Fire is a scary beast. As you said, thank God they all escaped. I'll pray also.

praying also AMN, from my own experience of losing everything in a fire, they will need your support more than anything for quite a while.

Most things can be replaced, but people and dogs cant be replaced. At least everyone got out.

I hope they're able to get their lives back to normal quickly.

You said the house was next door to you? Did you have any damage?

Oh, I am SO sorry to hear this .

I don't know what to say other than that I am so glad that no one was hurt and am praying for you and your neighbours - what a horrible thing to happen, especially right after Christmas.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers!

Thanks, everyone, it's really disturbing to see this so close to home. My boys have been brought home to their parents and I've been just weeping as I watch them in a huddle trying to make sense of what has happened to their home.

The neighbors are out in force asking them too many questions for which they have no answers. It's hard enough for them, I wish I could help somehow or other.

So, so true.

No worries on our end, big lots here and a creek between us, but we're in a melt today and there was a heavy fog all morning so when I smelled something burning, I wasn't able to tell for sure about the source. My brother spotted the flames a few minutes later and the fire trucks were arriving. It happened sooooo fast, and I'm so thankful no one was hurt. The kids weren't home and I'm thankful also that they did not have to see this happening to their home and their whole Christmas.

They appreciated a little care package of coffee & kleenex, my brother took it over to them. I just don't know what else to do!

How scary! I'm so glad nobody was hurt. And I'm happy the pets made it out safely, too.

I'm sure they're still in shock over this tragedy....they probably don't even know what they need yet. I pray they had insurance. While it can't replace everything it can definitely help with the basic necessities.

You're a good neighbor to take them some coffee.....I'm sure they know they can count on you if they need anything else. I'm keeping them in my prayers.

Awww Cindy, this is so sad. I will send up some special prayers for them. You are doing what you can. I am sure they appreciated the coffee and kleenex very much.

How awful for them and how scary for you. I'm glad you weren't alone. I so understand your helpless feeling..

I'm saying a prayer as I type..
